Darius vs Lee Sin Top Help Please ...

How does one beat Lee Sin with Darius? I just got my ass handed me by a smurf Lee Sin. He single handedly destroyed our entire team even though we were winning early - mid (except my lane ..) I could literally be under my tower and he'd just dive it and delete me in seconds. He also did that kick + Q thing that no Lee Sin my elo does. I'm in Silver 1 right now. My build was Flash > Tabi > Cleaver > Dead Man Plate > Thornmail Lee Sin build was Ravenous Hydra > Randuin > Cleaver > Merc Boots > Blood Thirst > Last Whisper Not really sure what order though. Any tips on how Darius should be playing against Lee? Most of my deaths came me trying to farm and him walking up to me, AA and stuff, Ult + Q and im dead. A lot of times I think he's roaming I'd try and farm a before he comes back but he'd show up from river and walk behind. I can't walk back to tower since he's blocking the way and he out damaged me so bad. When I try to run back he'd just Q me and I'm dead ... Honestly that whole game I felt beyond useless. Only thing I could think that could possibly help my situation was do nothing at tower and wait for the wave to come ... But even then he'd probably just dive and kill me somehow T_T

Don't let him walk up and AA you, you need to use the minions and your Q as a zoning tool - the minions to block his Q and your Q to keep him at a distance. You should do just as much (or more) damage early so you need to make sure you are the one in control and not letting him dictate to you.

As for starting, you should probably be starting doran's shield and doing a camp level 1 and then recalling for 5 potions. That will keep you sustained so you can farm up, I would also go hydra > tabi > phage > warden > cleaver and you should definitely skip dead man's plate. You need to be able to kill Lee, not just stand there and let him kill you.

Hydra gives you sustain and keeps you out of execute range so that you can trade without worrying about him diving you. Phage gives you some mobility and warden's mail can build into either frozen heart or randuin which is MUCH better than dead man's plate. Thornmail should only be in games with an AA heavy ADC or a full AD team, Lee is a burst caster that happens to AA sometimes so unless you're against vayne or tristana or jinx it's not great until a last item.

You should always save your pull for after he's used his ward jump and his Q, otherwise he's just going to use them to escape to a minion.

Also: call for ganks. Lee is free kills early before he gets going and then he falls off super hard, as soon as you're even levels with a couple items Darius is MUCH better 1v1 and in teamfights. That's why he's a top lane and Lee is a jungler.
