How can I improve my early game?

I've been doing some reflecting on how I play recently, and it's been made obvious that my laning phase is, to put it bluntly, pretty dogshit. I play support, enchanters and mages specifically. And I'm worse than useless in lane, because I tend to die a lot. Well, on good games I don't feed, but I'm useless. I still keep my winrate though because once laning phase is over and we get to teamfight, I'm pretty good at those, I think! I can feel myself making a difference and turning the game around. Although often it's difficult if I've fed the enemy adc too much in laning phase haha. So yeah, is there any guides on what supports should be doing in laning phase, or anything that'll help improve my play?

This can fall down to a lot of things without more information. The most common issue I notice for specifically enchanter supports in Laning phase is playing too passive! You should almost always be looking to poke, harass, and just overall display e-girl dominance over the other support.

Enemy carry thinks they can take a last-hit? Smack then in the face with something! Frost fang plus the right runes can make it where you can make their life hell with poke now. It's not like season 3 where Janna and Soraka were just sustain bots. They finally have a little bite in lane. You should also poke the enemy support when they're out of position

If you get ahead in the poke game, it's your lane now. If you play passive, it's the enemy's lane from the start. If you're sure it's not your poking causing some of the problem, there are some other possible causes as well.

I recommend watching Lohpally on YouTube. He has tutorials all around how to poke that can be invaluable if you're not confident. Furthermore, he covers the other aspects you may have trouble with like early game vision, and even has 'before first back guides' for most supports! I hope this may help point you in the right direction a bit, and I can also try to help more if you have anything specific you're wondering!

It comes down to zoning and when it comes to mid lane forgetting or not pushing if your laner roams and your incapable of stopping it.
