Unless you mean iffy as in good, but that just seems like a bizarre word choice. Fact is, if you want an assassin to win games in Solo Q, you don't want Zed, Leblanc, or Ekko. You want Talon, pretty much 100% of of the time. Talon has 1 significant advantage against all 3 of his counterparts in the last example; He's easier to play, his burst rotation is faster, and he has less counterplay because of those 2 things. And having less counterplay is a bigger and bigger advantage the better your opponents are. Talon isn't a bad assassin in Solo Q. He is THE assassin in Solo Q.

As for Akali, Solo Q is literally the only place where she's viable. Her weaknesses are absolutely crippling in a competetive environment since she's so reliant on snowballing off of roams and people being too stupid to buy pink wards. There's a reason you see Zed, Ekko, and Leblanc in LCS but not Talon or Akali. The former aren't as snowbally can can't carry nearly as hard as the last 2, but they have enough options in their kit to actually be useful against coordinated teams. But in Solo Q? Bench Leblanc and Zed, and play Talon.
