I just got gold and guess what so many people here are at 0 lp on like 5 game losing steaks. In some games there would be people playing adc and getting 50 farm at 15 mins when they have never died. I found my self being camped pushed undertower in top lane thinking I would have the least farm in the game while I ended up with the most. People losing dragon when they have smite and the enemy steals it with an auto from a shaco clone. People targeting the clone while the real one has red buff. People farming worse then in SIlver Sad to say gold is just shinny bronze. btw I was bronze 1 at start of season

Up vote. That is all I have seen. You have to be in the top 10% to see god plays. Watch a diamond match. Shit looks like bronze to me. I have spectated games where I didn't know the rank of the players based on the game play. I had to look them. PLAT? Ah hell no?!?!

Diamond IS bronze. Diamond games play out literally exactly the same as bronze games: Everyone plays whatever champ they want in a position and no one ever hits with skillshots.

I think its all about how many games you play and the decisions you make. The game play can't really be that different. You have four buttons and with two summoner spells. The meta is reenforced by RIOT so there aren't that many strategic tactics you can use. If they didn't want a meta there would be more than 6 roles.

Gold 3-1 is actually pretty good because most people really want plat.Once Plat V hits then everyone thinks they are great players when they really suck, but every "x" V division is bad.

You can't really judge a division based on their V tier, it is usually players that, like you said, belong in the lower division and aren't very skilled. In my opinion and division III-I is where you see the true players of that tier.

can confirm. every plat promo get trolled to hell. every other game in gold 1 elo has a troll. lost a game today because i smited 3rd red from a farming, behind Vayne so she AFKed at red.

Got to silver recently and my teams got worse than when I started in bronze III (only been playing LoL for a short time). The lower leagues just seem to be a mish mash of bad players honestly. I mean half the time I see a gold bordered player on my team they end up feeding.

It is well known that LOL turns to the best game after d5. d5 is considered the last spot for bad players, just look at all the d5 0 lp people haha. Also g5 is where most people stop playing since they just want the season rewards so you get a bunch of silver players who were carried by there duo and then stop since they cant solo at gold.

Losing streaks happen and to be placed into s1 where you have to win 3/5 games to rank back because you lost the same amount of games that would drop you a division, where you only have to win 2/3, is unfair. At that point whats the point of tiers with 3/5 game? You want it to be just like any other division instead of tier.

Making it simple this is all based of mmr not streaks. You have to tank your mmr to silver level to be dropped. The people you see that you beleive should be dropped? Ya your mmr is around theirs haha.

You need to be at the ELO of division 4-5 of lower Tier to be demoted.

You can fall Tiers/Divs in all ranks. You just can't decay fall in Bronze-Gold, meaning you can go inactive and not worry about falling, but you can still fall from losing enough games.

I am in the exact same situation. Started Bronze 1 this season, am now gold 5. I honestly saw better players in Bronze 1. I think it might get better once you get to gold 3 ish? A lot of people in gold 5 are people who are dropping fast.

Gold is just a shinier bronze.

Platinum is a thin layer of platinum coated onto a silver core.

Low gold is still silver division.

Look at OP.GG sometime when you start a game. You will see between gold 3-5 there are silvers in your games and sometimes a random plat that draws 2-3 silvers in a game at gold 3.

This is why you don't want to duo q with a high rank friend. He will bring silvers to fight against gold.

I usually spend more games in division 5 of whatever than I do in all the others combined, over the course of climbing. So it will get easier if you get a lucky win streak.

Gold 5 and 4 are crap, but it gets a little better.
The 5th and 4th divisions in all leagues really really suck, have plat and diamond friends that can confirm this.

At the end of the day it's soloq. Throws happen in higher divisons just at a lesser degree since people are a little bit more organaized the higher you get.

Well, some people get eloboosted to gold for the season rewards, so there's that.

I think the vast majority of people are good at this game, though. Some people main a role, so they may not be good at other roles. And, sometimes there are people who just have a bad game, and you happen to be in that game with them. Typically, the 5th division is the worst because there are people who are on tilt worrying about falling down a tier (or they deserve to be in the lower tier, but haven't played enough games yet).

Overall, the game is about having fun, so don't let it get you down! And, congratulations on getting gold. :)

Gold V is full of people who got elo boosted or are just stuck there after getting some lucky streaks at the beginning of the season, the skill gap in Gold V is huge its the biggest division after Silver V if I remember correctly. You just gotta keep playing and if you keep up your good gameplay you will eventually rise and once you get to like Gold III people actually know what they are doing for the most part.

The only difference between low and high ranks is the fact that you will most likely run into better players more frequently then you would in lower ranks. You will still run into bad players occasionally no matter what.

Yeah gold is pictured as a land of sunshine and paradise, but in honesty it's pretty shitty early on. Even plat is a shit hole, I only hope diamond is better :C. and btw I started bronze 2 this season :o.
