Counterpicked Malphite with Zac. Might be fighting Nautilus???

Was this a bad pick? I usually ban him or hes banned so i wasn't sure what to do. Hes's "sadi to be a counter"...

Garen is probably the absolute best counterpick to Malphite. Malph's only form of poke is his Q, which costs a lot of mana early on and Garen can break out of the slow with his Q. Malph doesn't have enough damage to ever kill garen alone and would have to blow almost his entire kit most of the time if malph's jungler showed up to gank.

Oh thanks lol! Another exuse to play garen xD. Zac - Malph was actually extremely easy on my part. I might use him in my pool of Malp "counterpicks." I was pretty much sustaining and out poking him too much for him to handle.

Zac is GREAT against Malphite. All you have to do is max W first instead of Q, and any time he gets too close, pop him with it. Malphite is one of those champions who prefers extended trades--he comes in and just beats on you until you try to run. But that doesn't work against Zac. When he tries to engage, you just Q and W him on cooldown and run around picking up bloblets. Don't bother autoing him unless you have a Grasp proc up, running to your bloblets for the heal and the CDR on the W is better. You'll grind him down LONG before you even need a single potion.

There is no really counterpick to a good Malphite if you ask me. All he has to do is get LVL6, and press R in teamfights. Doesn't matter if he has like 10 CS in min 40.
