I mean mechanically most champions are brain dead easy to play. Biggest difference is game knowledge and decision making. The other day I played some flex games, with and versus players way below my solo rank. Ended up massively fed and carrying multple teamfights, but still struggled to make my team take objectives after winning fights, resulting in multiple fights of getting 3/4 kills on enemy and then getting absolutely nothing done.

Like I say months ago. Riot has built this game towards children. With smurf accounts the children are becoming toxic and poorly brought up.

If they just left the rune and masteries system alone the one before they made thunderlords, this game would be a lot more enjoyable

If they were similar they wouldn't be silver/gold/plat in the first place.

hey luck is a real factor in climb

I think low elo is plagued by smurfs with such consistency that at least 2 in 3 games has one.

They know what they're doing. By helping hard stuck players who normally 50-55% in their own elo into a 48% win score, they achieve a couple things:

-self enjoyment

but.....

-filtering out the pool who can climb

But it comes at a huge community cost: more toxicity, more hopelessness, and a major feeling of dissatisfaction with the game.

Players at low elo don't understand what a smurf is, or play differently around them. As far as they are concerned, a Silver is a Silver. Not a Diamond in Unranked clothing. And this is where the argument of "such a such champ is broken" comes from. I just had an unranked Nidalee shut down any chance of me smurfing an unranked blind pick with Evelynn, who literally never missed and hairpin healed. She had to at least be Gold I if not Plat, with her Katarina duo, which kind of both make the game hell for an Evelynn as is. But if it was a new player unranked or bronze, I would have slaughtered them. They spent the game trash talking ofc, even though my team had 3 adcs, one of which was building AP, and one who was int feeding. We still won, but not before Nidalee was 19/8 and Kat was 20/10. I barely managed 5/11, because the int feeding adc put them 2 items ahead, and Nidalee was perfect.

That's why kids can instantly make smurf accounts and Riot can't do shit about it.

I can actually see myself playing decent against diamond Lv players. In the end of the day it's all about teamwork.

Well I know when I lane against D5s in norms sometimes I get shit on and it's more of a game of not feeding for me. Plat 5s are easy for the most part though

I've certainly seen some exceptional cases in both regards.

I really feel the BIGGEST difference is just how much ranked people play. It's fairly common to see bronze players with less then 100 ranked games in a season, but VERY rare to see Platinum + players with fewer then 250.

Heyyyyyyylll no.

I can tell elo from behaviour. Elo is made only from small differences- but they all add up.

It's not like if you play with bronze 5 they suddenly don't know what baron does. They'll do something more subtle- like missing out on a clutch double-kill in a 2v1 because they don't know their champion's damage output. Or hitting a Thresh 'predict' on a Kat, but not knowing what wards are. (btw that's not REALLY a predict...)
