She was already viable as a support. Balancing her even farther that way seems unneccessary. She's the eco-friendly version of heimerdinger. I'm curious why they felt she needed a touch on this one.

she was already viable as a support? i didnt know that when i was playing her support all those times, i thought i was a huge trend setter!

theyre making her support oriented because people PLAY her support

they fucked up with mordekaiser trying to force people to play him in certain lanes and they aknowledged that

so they don't want to try to force her into any different play style

and people are pissed off for some reason

They're reworking parts of her kit, that's going to acquire some RE-balancing afterwards and they're going to focus on making sure she works support 1st, mid lane 2nd.

If you consider zyra viable as a support now,let me reassure you that mid zyra will be viable to the same extent after her rework.

Zyra is a great support (poor mid laner imo which is fine) for those who take the time to learn her and there is not another champ like her, due to her unique reliance on her plants not straightforward cast spells there are many combos you can use for different situations and resourcing her seeds is vital. If you put the time into her and have a strategic mind you can control whole area's and team fights. There are mages that need TLC far more than Zyra (Ryze (one of your champ killer reworks), karma xerath?). Not every champ has to appeal to the masses or your riot rework team, Zyra has a small but very dedicated fan base. Reworking her will lose you players not gain you any. A new skin would be nice though, like shurima zyra?
