Hey Malicious, got a build question for you.

Now you probably get this a lot (I actually think you should make a guide on one of those guide sites at this point) but I was curious. Let's say Trinity Force somehow got nerfed to the ground and was no longer Viable on Mordekaiser. How would this change your build?

I ask because I finally tried Mordekaiser top with the TF, Ryli's, and Steraks build. Once I got Ryli's after TF I was pumping out some heavy damage, but on a personal level I hate Trinity Force as an item.

Also what do you max after E? I did Q but I was wondering if W might have been better.

Well, I'm no fan of Tri force either but it's just way too good at the moment^^

If it gets nerfed I'd probably just revert to my usual build of; item 3116 item 3053 item 3146 item 3065 item 3742

Also, my skill order's the following: E->W->Q->W and then max E first and Q second.

Two points in W helps a ton in the early game but you'll need the maxed E by mid game.

I didn't consider putting a second point into W. I usually just max one ability after putting points into the main three and then repeat.

Also what do you start with? I grabbed Dark Seal for the AP and increased potion healing.

either boots or cloth and four pots

Odd choices, but I guess no starting items really work for him.

Thanks.

They aren't really odd if you think about it.

Both let you get more pots than any other laner.

Cloth gives you the edge when having to face heavy ad laners like Riven, helps a ton early on especially seeing that Mord's got one of the lowest base armor

Boots gives you much needed MS to dodge skill shots in AP matchups as well as escape ganks.

would maxing q ever be an option if the teams is mostly melee, or is that just a given.

rarely see morde.

E builds a lot more of shield and gives morde some instant and ranged harass. Unless the matchup in lane is melee heavy and the enemy can't run away you can consider maxing Q (but it rarely happens, almost any melee can outrun Morde).
