I don't know if I'm the only one who has noticed but the new control ward has a smaller range than vision wards. Is this intentional or a bug? If it was intentional than why was there no mention of this when control wards were being announced? Kind of a big deal.

Oakleaf Ranger1 votesI never knew the old unit radius but I assumed it going to be the same as the old one. I at least didn't see reason on why it was lowered. Was just change for the sake of change?

The way I interpret the patch notes; the lower radius is likely to compensate for the increased power of a Control Ward being able to disable both traps and Sight Wards, rather than just revealing them like the old Pink Wards. The change might also be factoring in the stealth changes to allow for champions to be more balanced (i.e.: allow champions like Evelynn to be more viable). I imagine that it would be subject to change if Camouflaged champions become too powerful.
