Post-Rylai Metagolem for most mages
For the majority of mages, these items may be the flat out best items. Thoughts? Should Riot add new/buff existing items, so there will be diversity in the mage builds?

Honestly, I'm still goinna build Rylai's regardless of it being nerfed. I like being somewhat tanky, and build a ROA / Rylai's on most mids I play. On Vlad, the item is still a required item, 'cause without that slow you're not goinna do anything later on in the game.

Haha. xD He's one of my favorite mages.
These items are the standard core for mages.. There are cases such as mana mages (Anivia, Ryze), or tank mages (Swain, Taliyah), burst mages (Syndra, Fizz), assassin casters (Fizz again, other high mobility mages), but other than that... these items are, as I said, the standard core due to the fact that the other items have been nerfed to the ground or have been rendered only usable in certain situations. Abyssal was made a bruiser/tank item. Rylais is being nerfed to the ground, imo. The mana on Morello and the mana return is too good not to build early on regular mages. The three top ap items, Zhonyas Ludens Deathcap, are bought in general due to the passive or active they provide. Void is built in place of Abyssal due to the change. Void isn't even a decent build path.. it just needs to be built. Large gap between "ingredients bought" and "full item purchase" in terms of power and gold. Sorc pen boots are swapped out for swifties or lucidities sometimes, but with CDR being so common in the game atm, it's hard to get a build WITHOUT 40%CDR. Even if one of these items are swapped out for something with Revolver in it's buildpath, or for Lich bane, or Seraphs Embrace, it's still not enough of a playrate percentage to overcome this overbearing core build.
