Can there be a champion mastery barrier for low ELO ranked?

We're all already bad enough, and first timers just shoot x-rays on the tumor. I'm not gonna comment on high ELO, not qualified, likely never will be.

I don't think you have to get level 7 or anything, but can we make it so you have to have at least level 3? That's like 5-7 wins in normals, it's not that bad. That way if someone troll locks Garen support i can at least know that they kind of know how to play Garen? Would take a lot of stress out of this giant pile of stress.

Think about this

on top of being level 3 to play ranked, riot would have to enforce a rule making you have atleast 15 champions with level 3 mastery, since there are 6 bans and 10 champions picks.

Instead of being level 30 to play ranked with 15 champions, you would now need 100s of games to play ranked.

Right but they recently cut the amount of time to reach level 30 in half essentially. Meaning that the barrier to entry for ranked is lower. You still need 16 champions but you can get all of the 450 and 1350 ones relatively easily. Plus you can reroll hextech champ shards for free champions as well.

And frankly if it means people have to play more games in normals before going into ranked, good. It'll give them more experience and make them better.

that Garen who queues with you, mastery 1 or mastery 3 or mastery 7, he sucks at garen. he doesn't know the basics of garen, not even how to spin properly.

that's why he's in bronze 4, with you, a player who is likely to attempt and melee a 5 item jax as jinx.
