So, i'm excited for the Kayle Rework. But...

Isn't this the very thing you guys could have done to Aatrox honestly? From the trailer, it seems like Kayle can easily balance out autoing and casting spells. Meanwhile Aatrox had to be completely changed from the ground up and given a kit that just screams balance nightmare (Q) and a clunky mess. Like, we get his old kit was toxic and stat check (mainly due to W), but couldn't you have gone a different route that had a combination of spells and autos?

One auto that also is toxic in its own right, and a sad version of GA that has to scale in duration to be any good, then fades off when the duration ends. Thats honestly what I can compare the two to.

I get that they wanted to make aatrox more of a challenging champion to play and less of a stat checker, but they completely disregarded the fact that old Aatrox mains (and sorry for the assumpion) were not people that wanted to play a combo high mechanical requirement champion, It's like they made a version of riven that is better suited for pro play.

Aatrox skill cap is high atm and he can be a very strong champion... as long as you have pro-level mechanics. They completely alienated the champ's dedicated audience.

They have, and for no reason. Had they taken time to modernize his kit, people would have been interested in it in the first place because, "oh hey, its a champ that got reworked, lets try them out"

I mean he was reworked because Riot hates drain tanks and so does most of the player base. Also his lore does not fit a sustained champion. He is supposed to be a devastating "god of war" esk being. He should do heavy damage. Also his old kit was very generic and didn't have a lot of uniqueness unlike Kayle. Kayle is all about starting off weak and melee and turning into a ranged late game monster. Her base was a lot better than Aatrox was. Just a reminder is was less than a year after Aatrox's release that Riot started considering a rework since they realized how generic and bland he was. I liked old Aatrox and played way more of the old iteration than the current, but his update is for sure an upgrade.

Okay, but lets be honest, Galio had pretty much all of his damage put on one spell, and how did that work out? Hotfixed almost immediately because he could one shot people.

Ok? I don't know how this relates to anything. I mean I think Riot just doesn't know what to buff or nerf or take away from reworks once they are found to be slightly problematic and they just pick something and don't actually think how it will effect them and that is why you get the Galio situation.
