Evelynn is... different.

No camouflage until level 6... or about 10 minutes into the game. At least she gets HP regen instead of mana regen.

Hate spikes is a lot different. They added a barrage mechanic/charge system for some reason. Dunno why they changed it. I mean of all her old skills, hate spikes seemed to be the one that least needed mucking with. So riot decided to link it up to evelynn's new tentacle sex theme. The bad thing about this skill is it's going to be crap against chickens on your first clear as you need to hit the big one with your first hit. Getting the positioning right on that is going to be awkward to learn. It's like whoever designed her had no idea how the jungle works. I mean who had the idea of giving a jungler an AoE skill that doesn't work naturally against the camp that needs AoE the most? Now you have to do some weird maneuvering to get to the fat chicken first.

Her charm is interesting, but it works on a delay. Attacking someone before the charm kicks in refunds mana and slows them. Not sure about this mechanic as a whole. It seems like riot could have gone with a simple and elegant skill but decided to make it more complex than it needed to be. The name is nice, I'll give it that.

Her E applies on-hit effects (that no one will be building on AP evelynn, good call rito) but even worse, it does % max health damage. Even better is if you are in yandere demon mode, you get a dash as well. So we've got a dash that applies on-hit effects and does percentage health damage. Was CertainlyT giving advice for this rework?

I see you hiding there. Don't deny it.

There's one thing I don't get about this change and that's the on-hit effects. To my knowledge, rito was intent on killing her AD scalings and her on-hit builds. So why add this here? It's like this skill was added before riot settled on her final direction. Nashor's isn't a normal buy option on Evelynn and I can't imagine her buying it now. I don't see the new evelynn buying bloodrazor/bork just for this effect. This is just odd.

Evelynn's ult is too much like Xayah's imo. She gets untargetable status and AoE damage. Then she gets an escape. It feels like reav3 or meddler were pushing this kind of ultimate hard this year (and charm effects). Why else would 2 champs get very similar ults in the same year? Still, I think this is kind of a good change because it discourages tank eveylnn from coming back.

I give this rework Yandere Tentacle Hentai out of 10.

Her Q skillshot has extreme synergy with her W mark, you can potentially make a person doomed if you land that dart. She has two executes AND a magic pen debuff WITH damage enhancer buff of Q, you're totally fked lee sin Q class if that thing lands.

making eves permastealth scale off game time is a really good way to balance it.

in hindsight, this is how it always should have been done, and such an early game solution to the insane early game pressure it gives her.

this means her early ganks are going to be less brutal and the stealth doesnt take like 80% of her power budget, which allows the rest of her kit to be actually good.

as the game moves on and transitions into grouping and macro play, and her opponents had the chance to build some items to deal with her jumpscares, she gets to be a better assassin than now.

That might be how it should have been done, but the problem with perma stealth is it gets a lot weaker once everyone starts grouping. Now she's got a narrow window where it'll be effective.

you do realise that on hit effects include Lich Bane ? That's why it is extremely strong for her. This "applies on hit effect" is needed to make her able to assassinate.

Also, if you build the hextech gunblade (not the final item, the 1200 gold one) it will also work with her e.

Also fyi : her current "E" is applying on hit effects aswell.

You're wondering why they added a skillshot component to her Q : simply because she has access to stealth and in order for her to get the required damage to assassinate properly they needed to add some counterplay.

no stealth pre 6, skill shot on Q, delay on charm + she gets revealed to the marked target for a brief moment when she marks them, she's still visible to the ennemies when she gets too close to them.

She needs her invulnerability on the ult + the blink because she lost her on demand (reseted by kills/assists) MS boost + slow cleanse. She needs a way to go in and out, like nearly every assassin in the game.
