What am I NOT doing?

It took me a while, but I worked my way up from Bronze II to Silver III. Right now, I'm really frustrated whenever I try to climb out. Sometimes, I go on winning sprees that are followed up by giant losing streaks. When I lose, I feel like it's either my fault for letting the person I'm laning or whatever against snowball, or there are "idiots", for that specific game, that are too heavy for me to even attempt to carry.

So naturally, after a crap load ton of raging, I've come to the conclusion that Silver III is where I should be. So, what I'm asking here is, "What are **Gold** players doing that a **Silver** player like me isn't.

That's hard to say without watching you play.

How much cs do you get a minute? Theres 13 cs that goes by per minute in a lane.

Are you warding? Upgrading your trinket is all you need, but its very helpful.

Are you getting caught? Are you watching your minimap often enough? Are you going places where you aren't covered by vision without knowing where enemy champs are a lot?

Are you tracking timers like dragon?

Are you taking advantage of power spikes? Of enemy abilities on cooldown? Of level advantages early?

Are you expecting things from teammates without communication?

Are you applying pressure by taking objectives when enemies are elsewhere?

etc.

I main support however I also play other roles just as much and do well. It doesn't matter who you play in low elo, it matter on how you play. I've seen like 24/0/0 zeds lose a game because they don't actually play the game to win and then they complain about their team being heavy. Yeah no fucking kidding they are heavy, you took all the kills and couldn't do anything with them. That zed wasn't as useful as the support that probably fed and has a -8 death ratio. I would rather having the 0/8 Sona who is still trying to win the game and is not toxic.

Still, learning new champions other than what you have is very needed, like for example you need to learn how to counter which gives you the edge early or later in the game. You also need to ward more even if you can't buy that shiny new item. I got back into gold using only adc mids because Riot decided to put me back into silver (HAH!) and now I'm back into gold. If I played enough I would be in plat already but I only play like 1-2 and rarely ever 3 games a day, winning more than I lose however when I lose I lose like 3-5 more LP than I won.

The last thing I can tell you is thinking about survivability and reliability. Sona is nice and all but most supports do her job better with the exception of her early poke, which means that she will fall off later on. Riot based on so much on poke and decided that they don't want her to poke and build AP items (They have a really smart team I'll tell you whu-what (Hank hill) and then she has her one and only cc that matters. She is below average of a support, I used to love her before she got destroyed. In low elo picking champs with a lot of survivability will help you climb easily, like Riven for example. Or Lucian, basically champs with as many gap closers as they want. But most importantly you need to think about your team instead of yourself, unless if you think you can literally climb out of your rank by yourself. That means don't pick Zed when you have an AD jungler, top, Sivir and Braum support.

I picked late game champs and just cs well mostly, I did other things of course, but this is a play style that works for me. most people in bronze and silver don't zone very well even if they have a good lead, and if you don't give them a lead, it's even easier.

those champs that you like often like to go fairly aggro which isn't bad, you just have to catch people's mistakes and to do that, you have to be able to see them when they make mistakes.

You are going on tilt. Whenever you lose a game, take a break. Go watch some tv, surf the net, etc. You may not realize you are mad or frustrated from the last game. Taking a break lets you settle down so you play good in the next game.
