The only reason fleet footwork is getting nerf is because of Kassadin. Viktor used to run it when he was mid but not anymore since tank viktor is better. But seriously is there any other mage who use it? Does it deserve a nerf?
Talinis3 votesNo other mage uses it because there are other options that mages would want more that sync with their kit. The only reason a mage would take fleet footwork is to abuse it. Kassadin's early phase of the game is meant to be punishable which is why he has a stupidly overpowered kit later in the game. When you can just take biscuits, fleet footwork, teleport and potions, it defeats the entire purpose of having a weak early. Thusly, nerfs. It's really for the same reason it was nerfed for ranged ADs.

The only AP champs that are allowed to be truly viable and allowed to use different playstyles are the assassins, such as champs like 
but most of the time Riot will swoop right in and correct even that given time.

IDK what they expected when they kept gutting it for AD champs. Of course if you leave a 50% AP ratio on there, people will build it on AP champions. Nice to know they're going to continue to nerf it though because Kassadin and other AP champions can't keep their grubby paws off it. ADCs can continue to suffer with their lower base health, health regen, and armor, I guess.
ModWulf Helhammer2 votesIt’s having the ratio reduced for preseason (not this one) because since the stats are being decoupled from rune tree picks, they don’t have to overly compensate mages for taking one that gives them AS.
