My friend has a free week, and we plan on playing a lot of LoL, since he started playing, but stopped before really learning the game. Since he is pretty much a new player, I made a new account to play with him. Right now I plan on playing Soraka to suppress other laners and heal up mistakes. Any other supports good for teaching someone the game/fun troll picks to play with noobs?
I personally enjoy Leona because she can protect the carry by locking down whoever is after it.
On the troll pick side, ad <pretty much any mage> entertained me somewhat when I was trying to show someone the game. Need to be careful to ensure your new friend does as you say and not as you do if you're going that route though. AP versions of ad champs too for the ones who have at least some AP scalings somewhere (which is most of them). 'Support' champions as primary laners, etc.
If you can jungle, that's also good for babysitting.
