We need more "Quest" mechanics like what exists in Heroes of the Storm

Various heroes in Heroes of the Storm have Quest Talents where you must do something very specific to unlock a certain reward. Kel'Thuzad is a great example, in that his quest drastically increases his power once he finishes it, but he has to land skillshot-based spell combos to complete it (and all his skillshots have a wind-up).

I would love to see a Quest-based passive on a future Champion or two, and maybe even change Syndra's passive to be quest-related so that good and bad Syndra players can be more easily separated, and so that she can be given a bit more power budget by requiring her to be really aggressive to receive rewards, not just gain levels.

That is a good and HORRIBLE idea. It is like when people constantly wanted S's on champions that they will intentionally throw games to keep their scores. Or they would ignore lanes to farm. They will ignore objectives to finish "Quests". Frankly I would rather they include the multiple daily quests like HOTS has. Can make it so they only give BE or BE and EXP.

I'd have said quests generally rely on Champion vs Champion interaction, not farming. It'd also be more like what happens with Kayn's gameplay, not as something to get you post-game rewards.

Ehh that can work, but that would encourage the cancer that was lvl 3 gank fest. At that time when JGers lived in lanes instead of the jungle. While I would love the kayn/Elemental lux mechanic. I don't know how they will balance it on some champions. But at best I would suggest making quests like how they had it before where you go for objectives. Like get 15 towers/ 3 of each dragon/ 2 barons/Rift heralds. Stuff like that. Because even if they ignore your lanes they are still doing something positive in taking an objective.

The reason why the personal quests work so well in HOTS is because they have no items so damage is basic.

The best quest I can think of is like a Revenge type of quest. In which if say you are playing Jinx and you just died to the enemy Jhin you will now do bonus damage to Jhin until you kill him Or if you die to someone else first it is switched to that person. Not a lot of bonus damage, but enough to be noticeable.

And they already have this mechanic in the game with Garen so it's possible to implement it.

I agree with this, and think this should be employed more often to implement carry curves on champions. The problem with carrying in League is that, because it so often boils down to getting experience or gold, getting the carry fed often reduces itself to giving them priority on all of the farm they can get, which isn't always the most interesting way of allowing a champion to scale. On top of this, most passives that grant more stacking power on champion kits either just give a stat based on farm (e.g. Sion, Veigar, Nasus's passives), or purely rely on kits (e.g. Rengar's innate), the latter of which can be fairly binary in its own right. In general, these effects lack nuance, frequently don't capitalize all that much on the champion's unique ability set, often boil down to just a stat bonus, and frequently lack real milestones. Implementing more varied quest-like mechanics, where champions could access a significant upgrade after satisfying a particular condition, could go a long way towards allowing certain champions to scale as games progress, and could potentially be a good replacement to certain passives that offer upgrades only at level or gold milestones, when they could award skill instead (e.g. Syndra's passives, Kha'Zix's evolution points, Viktor's Hex Core, etc.).
