New perspective on Urgot rework?

Now that our lord and savior has been played in the LCS and we've seen the LCSBIGPLAYS he can make, will Riot rethink a total rework? His kit has never been bad per se, he's just never been popular enough to see the light of day, but now with some exposure maybe Urgot won't need the full makover like everyone says. A few tweaks would probably be alright, but a Sion level rework? Maybe not so much..

In general, I think they just need to give his kit a lot more focus. I mean really:

  • His Q and his E suggest a sort of DPS carry sort of champion meant to reach a given condition of hitting somebody with one single ability before spamming with a shitton more little ones Cassiopeia.

  • His passive, and in some ways his Ultimate, on the other hand suggests anti assassin/duelist capabilities, being able to shut people down 1v1 or throw a gigantic whole second suppression

  • His W, and in every other way his ultimate, all suggest a Fighter/Tank who's job is to initiate via lockdown/switching positions to get into the middle of the enemy team and tanking a lot.

His kit is just all over the place, to be frank.

It makes perfect sense. He exists to shut down one enemy, even if he does not kill them.

No he will still get a rework. The reason why Riot what to rework him is for a few reason.

  1. To much hidden power.
  2. E & Q combo. You land the E and the other guy run for the hills. If miss you wait for E to get off of cooldown.
  3. What the hell is he? ADC, fighter, AD caster or a tank?
  4. Riot say his model need not to look so gross.

i personaly thiink that sion level of rework is actualy required

urgots kit isnt bad in the sence that it can work but his kit is bad in the sence that it does not promote any playstyle, its partialy a kit of a tank and partialy kit of an ad caster/adc the main problem with the guy was always that lack of direction in his kit, if riot would push him to be viable he would prolly become a lee sin grade champion

thats why i support the sion scale rework aimmed at giving him a direction

Eh something beyond minor changes, his kit is a mess, and he has the same outdated setup as other old champions.

After his rework I plan to actually try him.

When they rework Urgot, im just gonna not play him anymore. I played him halfway through season 4 and all of season 5 so far, and when his rework comes, im just going to find another champion that does well with Hidden Power. It is what was like when I was hemer before rework, then he got reworked and now im playing urgot. So, the rework shall destroy my fun with everyone not seeing him. bout time I start practicing with Evelynn Galio and Skarner.

I think it's mostly that his ult doesn't make much sense with the rest of his kit.
