I have a PBE account as well and have been playing him a bit. I'm really hoping that they make some changes because in his current state, it is laughable to think he will be replacing the marksman in bot.

The problem is, if you aren't going bot, you are losing out on a lot of his "cool new tricks" which is dumb. You can't play him support either because....he has no support tools, and with no non-support items (you won't have the money to build like normal Morde for a long while) you will be a target in lane.

I just...don't get it. He feels so awkward, and it is laughably easy to poke him out of lane when he goes bot, especially for someone like me who plays Cait when I adc. Cait can just poke him with autos out of range of every one of his abilities and he can either keep walking forward and getting kited, or leave and keep getting poked.

They didn't think this entire upcoming patch through very well (5.16)

From what I hear (from reddit), the advantage of playing morde top is then you can have your support go top with you, while you have an ADC like Vayne or Corki farm up botlane.

How is that an advantage? You are leaving your ADC alone to get poked/all-inned while you have two champs away from dragon.

The chances of getting someone in solo queue to be forced into a 1 v 2 is so small it is laughable.

No one is going to want to do that. I mean I sure as hell wouldn't. All you are doing is putting the adc at a disadvantage, and completely removing the point of having 2v2 bot, which is dragon. You can make it work in real 5v5 or pro play, but in solo queue, having that sort of disadvantage is going to mean tower dives to kill that adc, and easy drag control as the ADC can't contest against now 3 people.

There would be no reason to do that at all outside of trying really hard to make the new Morde work. Sure that would make him work, but that is silly to have to do that just make him work. I'd rather someone just played a better top.

Completely useless.

Small list of issues:

Your early game is worse than every single ADC in the game. You literally can not trade with your lane opponent at all
You deal no damage outside of Q's second and third proc. Even then, Q's base damage is fucking laughable, so you are even more useless when behind than old Mord could ever be.
Ult range nerf, ult Damage nerf, Ghost's AD completely GUTTED. Level 1 Ult gives a whooping 10 AD to Ghost (From the old 25) while Level 2 gives 25 instead of the old 50. And even then, the 25/50/100 value is nerfed from the original ''75% of Mord AD goes to Ghost''.
You literally do not have a skill if someone on your team isnt nearby.
Shield now scales with your HP. This means you are a lot more frail if you arent stacking HP, which is literally the worst defensive stat when it comes to interacting with shields.
325 Movement Speed is fucking abysmal no matter how you slice it
Ghost Dragon is clunky, doesnt last long enough, isnt strong enough and is completely eating on his power budget. You also cant use your actual Ultimate if you have it.
What the fuck do i build on this guy now? He wants AD, AP, Health, Resistances and Movement Speed.
There is literally zero reason to use Mordekaiser isntead of an ADC, and theres zero reason to pick him over any other Bruiser or Mage in the game.

in my opinion they need to leave his q+e the way it is his w should be casted upon minions since he i blieve is the only champion to buff minions aside from alistair who can heal them. his ultimate controlling the dragon i like the idea but not being able to cast your ultimate at least for the heal(nerfed) is very dumb you should be able to even if you dont get a ghost. and trust me i always thought mordes movement speed was abysmal. Targons-->Ninja Tabi->Phage->Trinity Force->Raptor Cloak->Rylai's). and riot said thats what most ppl build its like wtf maybe now yea cause they fucked up. i always built haunting guise>sorc boots homeaurd> gunblade>rylais or abby scepter>ludens>rabadans.

The difference is, Tahm gets a god damn 3k HP shield, deals extra damage when he is building HP and is actually supposed to be the tank. Tahm also doesnt have to deal damage to get his Shield.
