Why is CertanlyT completely ignoring all feedback on the Mordekaiser thread?

Because he doesn't LIKE feedback. He'll explain why his design choices are right, and maybe make some numbers changes, but by and large anytime feedback comes in that something ACTUALLY needs mechanic changes, he doesn't listen, just goes "well my thinking about that idea was X, so that's why it's gonna be that way"
This has lead to everyone hating him (something I consider justified, but people are super toxic about it)
Which has given him the excuse to just stop replying to feedback altogether, because who can blame a guy for not engaging with people who want him to never rework characters, never make NEW characters, and/or generally want him fired?
What feedback? So far it's been generic hatred towards all of his ideas.
Because all the community does is just bitch and bitch and bitch about things...
Biggest question is why is CertainlyT even allowed to touch Mordekaiser and ruin it for everyone who likes him?
all either were or still are game breaking and EXTREMELY unbalanced.
got gutted and is unbalanced since he's underpowered
Because then he might have to accept that his idea wasn't the best thing since sliced bread
So he has to post in order to read the feedback? I was under the assumption that posts could be read without having to make one yourself.
(taken from another thread that i wrote) Lets be honest here guys. Ive read the thread with certainly T. He was there to get feedback and help. Stattik and repertoir said they are brainstorming together to find solutions. But when Certainly T came in the forums...it was a maaassssiiiveee hate fest. People telling him out of nowhere to quit his job. That hes a *ock sucker, lots of insults--personal insults. As much as some wants to hate him: Thresh playerbase is huge; People love the champ, its a good champ. People love darius: we can even go to the thread, and its ironic how the people wants their beloved darius--CertainlyT champ--to then give the biggest F U ive seen given to someone un deserved or unprovoked on his morde thread and talk trash about his champs. Hes a freakin human being.
As much as people say yasuo is cancer: I think mechanics, interactions is always a good thing in league. Yasuo has several passive for instance. But it doesnt matter how many strenghts or weaknesses he has overall: as long as all the trade offs; counterplay; difficulty etcc are there its fine. There is many characters in the moba world who has tons of abilities. OVerloaded is just a word made up by ppl to always complain about a champ in the broadest way possible. (a bit like straw man arguments) Lets not forget the designers arent the one choosing the numbers for their stats.
I also think his champions are very very thematically sound and believable. Hes very good at making you feel and appreciate a champ and connected to its personality.
It doesnt mean Morde changes are good. But i can see some good reasonings for the abilities he gives him (thematics) But i would be angry too if he changed my olaf, kass, ryze to the point they are too different or just flat out suck. But he still deserve respect and appreciation for the good stuff hes done. He has talent. Perhaps if we werent just flat out immature and treating him like garbage--he would have talked and listened more.
Because he knows that player feedback at this current time is pretty much completely useless.
Nobody has played nearly enough Morde on the PBE to discern how well he can do, so pretending you're amazing a league of legends and can predict the future simply by reading patch notes doesn't phase game designers. As it shouldn't.
All of the people who main morde or play him frequently don't like these changes and don't get responses from riot .
All of the people who don't play him say that they are excited to try him in the bot ( without knowing that he won't be much of use there ) and riot responds to them . WTF ???
i mean instead of giving him a new home , fix his current home .
my main , you will be missed :((
It's the weekend? He's probably not working?
He's also probably the reason the game servers are currently in Oregon, you know, because he's good at taking things and moving them where they don't belong?
Because different designers want different things when they ask for feedback. In his case, he probably wants to talk about questions regarding specific mechanics (can syndra pick up and toss mord ghost dragon? Do supports with the xp mastery get even more xp when with mord?).
But noone wants to talk about that, they just want to whine about how they don't want a ghost dragon and they don't want to be bot, they'd rather you just buff him so he can win his binary lane solo lane matchups like before.
Because the only feedback he was receiving was "I don't like Morde duo lane, I wanna kill people alone without mommy to hold my hand" and since the decision of duo lane Morde (which is probably not only CertainlyT's) was definitive, he chose not to respond anymore. Everyone has been trashing him since he released Kalista about his "stupidly overpowered champion designs" and I kinda understand he doesn't like the board community.
If I had every decision I made bitched at by a specific part of the community, I'd probably stop paying too much attention to it, specially if it's an unfinished work.

Because he is not busy.
While it's a pretty big issue that he isn't responding or at least doing any PR posts to damage control, I'm curious how much of the criticism is from people who have played it on the PBE. I'm sure I'll get down voted for not getting out my pitch fork and torch, but the posts I've read from people about PBE morde (only counting people talking about playing him, not the mechanics/theory of his rework) have been mostly mixed. Some people really enjoy PBE morde, some people think it's too weird and don't like it. However, the champ has a pretty low pick rate and so my thought is that in an ideal world it would be fine to let it hit live, test it out and see if more people liked it and new morde had a stronger place in the game (maybe even could be made stronger as a champ bc he didn't have as many balancing issues).
The issue with that thought though is that in an ideal world people would have it hit live and play it for 3-4 week and if everyone hates it after playing it and getting kinda used to it, then they could decide it was a bad way to take it and pull the rework putting the old champ back on live while they head a different direction w/ a rework. Unfortunately, rito doesn't do much immediate change on live w/ feed back from the community, so when they ship it to live it will just be stuck there and if people don't change their opinions after playing it then it won't be fixed, and thus, the problem w/ rito and feedback.
Because he doesn't like anybody anymore. We don't like him, he doesn't like us. So he stays away from all the hate like this post because we just complain about how shitty a designer he is and don't generally give feedback.
Eh, i see where you guys are coming from. I'll just try to remain optimistic.
I cant lie that i am not disapointed on his lack of communication, but i also want to believe he is trying his best. Just more complaining will do no good, i suppose...i just hope he pulls it off.
