Oh hey, upvote farming. Guess someone really wants attention, and would probably put on their Logic Armor if anyone pointed out why Malzahar deserves the nerf.
"I don't know what this champion does nor how much damage they deal nor his/her mechanics so I will go all-in and beat him" gets rekt "omg standing near them is so bs."
Literally the reason unplayed champions are getting nerfed.

has triple digit mana costs on all his skills
Malz had a 54% winrate and a 16% play rate in plat+ last patch iirc.
This means he is Powerful and an Outlier.
His nerf was also not THAT bad, given his synergy with Deathfire Touch
Why would you even mention Worlds as if it's relevant to a post-preseason environment? For all you know he'd be a popular pick in competitive play were it happening right now.
Damn it. I guess Riot finally figured out how stupid his damage was :(
