Natural Talent is worthless and needs to be buffed or replaced

I'm talking here about the Mastery. 10 AD and 15 AP at level 18 is completely worthless. 2% lifesteal and spell vamp might not seem like much more, but they have a greater impact, especially in the early game. Thus, I say Natural Talent should either be buffed or replaced entirely. A good buff would be making it so it gives a flat bonus which doesn't scale with level or downright increasing how much AD and AP it gives. As for replacing it, I suggest giving another survivability mastery to compete with the lifesteal/spell vamp one, though I can't think of one right now.

Why do people say that 15 ap at level 18 is worthless, but will take scaling ap in their runes and it is fine?

80% of time I go with Natural Talent. Vampirism is kinda unnoticable on some champ.

Eh. It's better on champions that scale with both AP and AD, but that isn't saying much.

It's really not worthless. Many champions use it in their highest winrate mastery setups. I don't know the exact statistics overall, but it seems actually far more common in high winrate setups than Vampirism. You can find reliable data at champion.gg They use Riot's official API to track statistics from Platinum+ games.

You should keep in mind what it is competing with. An equivalent tier mastery in the Defensive tree is only +45 max health for example. +10 AD & +15 AP is a much higher total gold value than +45 Health.
10 AD alone is worth 350g (a full item 1036).
45 Health is only worth 120g total (less than a third of a item 1028).

  1. Remove Natural Talent
  2. Split Vampirism into individual lifesteal and spell vamp options.
  3. Give Battering Blows and Peircing Thoughts +3% Bonus AD and AP, respectively.

I would tend to agree that Natural Talent is virtually unnoticeable in most cases, bar 3.0 AD ratios. Vampirism's sustain at least is maximum power at level 1.

I'd like too see it switch places with the feast mastery, make it a 1 point wonder with a flat amount of extra damage from level 1 on abilities and auto attacks, and have feast gain more health back the more points into it and add a mana restore at higher levels, removing the cooldown for a lower more consistent health return.

Just hate how if I am a mage I have to take natural talent even though it sucks, wish there was something that benefited mages or solo laners in general a lot better.

While we're at it, buff Veteran's Scars along with Natural Talent. It was much better in its original form (3% HP I think?). 45 HP is NOTHING, like 1 extra AA at lv 1.

Make Veteran's Scars 3% HP and Natural Talent 3% AD/AP or something.

As far as scaling ap, i dont even use ap runes anymore, i go 20 flat magic pen, sorcs guise abysal after roa first i have 70 flat pen and no need for void unless 3 tanks, thus can deathcap,echos sooner done it on kennen and lissandra much stronger burst mudgame, ofc no roa on manaless champs. This is the only reason for not going free45% cdr with i mean 5% free, i go with the scaling flat pen.

Agreed, bump so Rito can see. Not to mention Lifesteal and Spellvamp scales into late game with more AD and AP (not to mention more lifesteal and spellvamp).
