I don't know about you, but even in the utmost of stomps, a game being less than 20 minutes long is almost unacceptable - especially if it's against other players, NO MATTER WHAT. EVEN IF they have a 0/22/0, the game should go on longer than 17 minutes unless they decide to forfeit.
Is this seriously the type of game you want, so snowball-friendly that you can be knocking on their base by minute 12?

Fortnite is gaining intense traction and one of the reasons for that is how long their games lasts. It's quick, easy and you can join the next game quicker.
Maybe they're just adapting with the times. Spending 40-60 minutes in a game is hella long time to commit to something that could result in a loss.

One I can remember when someone on the enemy team was salty and talking trash whilke they were losing and i pinged the team to keep pushing. It was past 18 minutes and i didnt even want to give the other team a chance to ff lol This was abck when surrendering was only possible at 20 min.
