Spell weaver Kog'Maw

W supposedly does too much damage early game ( even though the nerfs don't target his early game ) and does WAY too much damage late game. To change how reliant Kog'Maw is on his W, the damage needs to ramp up per ability used.

For example:

Kog'Maw W does 2% damage at level 1. Level 2 he invests in Q or E depending on his lane. During combat he activates W and auto only auto attacks. This keeps the % damage the SAME. BUT if he uses Q or E, the % damage increases by lets say .2% or something (idk THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE DONT CRY). This way Kog'Maw needs to keep using spells in between his autos to increase his % damage while using his other abilities. This would solve Kog'Maw's early game AND change his itemization path.

Change his itemization path? How? Using more abilities means he becomes more mana dependent forcing him to build items like Triforce and Essence reaver. Guinsoo's could still be built but would have to be later in the game when he can really ramp up his AA with spells.

Take it with a grain of salt.

EDIT: for anyone complaining that Kog'Maw does too much damage with bruiser items, you should see when he only builds crit items. This is from last season btw: https://gyazo.com/139918d520ccc0eb22bb4316c5bc9417

That being said, Kog'Maw now is only a fraction of what he used to be. Yes, I was the Lulu.

I think Kog is a classic example of a champion that could benefit from Manamune, if the item did not suck.

Literally only Ezreal builds Manamune so if they changed it, he would be affected the most. This is bad because you can't balance an item around a champion but they sure did with Kog'Maw :^)

Manamune is a support item. You don't even build it on Ezreal.

If it wasn't so sketchy to do, I would love to play my ultimate meme build on Kog. Manamune with 100% Crit and Rageblade. Every other auto procs the full mana damage because you don't lose mana since every auto crits, costing 3% current mana and restoring 3% max mana. I only ever managed to get it once, but holy shit did it hurt so bad.

I will have to try this out!

It's one of those builds that Brofresco would do to let you know it's 100% broken new meta you won't believe it better than Korea?

But if you manage to stall the game out it's fun to watch someone explode with both IE crits and Manamune doing full damage.

Yeah. It used to actually be a solid item on old AP kog, if he could somehow get around the horrid stack timing.

It takes twice as long to stack a muramana as opposed to a seraph's.

Riot does not want AP Kog'Maw to exist.
