Okay - not ragin' - have to inform that Jax has a 43% win rate vs Trundle, and there's reasons for it.
Jax can't rush a rageblade vs. Trundle and expect any amount of success in lane. What's Trundle doing for the 10 (best case scenario) minutes it takes Jax to get Rageblade, during which Jax has maybe one of the two crap items that build into it? He's letting Jax E-W-Qaway, after a couple rotations Jax is oom and Trundle owns the lane. Jax gets close without E popped, he gets auto-chomped for 200+ hp.
A Jax that rushes Rageblade vs. Trundle, in my estimation, won't be getting that rageblade during lane phase. The only safe poke he has will burn his mana up considerably faster than Trundle's ability to outsustain it.
If by some miracle Jax gains the advantage pre-6, he won't secure the kill b/c he gets a pillar in the nuts when he tries to run the troll down.
Don't get me wrong, I like Jax, and aside from his dance I'm not a huge Trundle fan. However, Jax has a 43% win rate vs. Trundle for a reason. There's no way to itemize vs. Trundle as Jax and have a hope of success. Best scenario, Jax maintains a 10-20% cs deficiency and outscales the troll post-transition - and even that will be tough b/c the troll has very selective clearing and can set the pace of the lane.
Trundle is no. 1 in top lane win rate for the last month or so, since he dethroned Quinn. He's just beast af right now. He DOES have counterpicks, but it sure ain't Jax.
Jax just isn't a top laner anymore unless the opponent picks some weird stuff. 48% win rate, is countered by most of the top 10 top-lane-win-rate champs, and doesn't counter any of them. --- Doesn't stop me from playing him, but I won't be playing him in ranked.
At least his win rate for games >35:00 goes over 50%, so he has that going for him, which is nice.
