Garen is bullshit, convince me otherwise

Give me legit reasons why Garen isn't bullshit. Here are the reasons why he is:

Very strong damage early game (without items) No mana High sustain Nuke R that punishes you for building HP, but nukes you if you don't build it Can set you as the "villain" punishing you for doing well in the game His Q is easily landed due to the movement speed, has high damage and a silence Insanely good AoE armor shred Deals bonus damage in 1v1 fights (E damage) very safe pick in solo Q (I don't care that he is bad in Diamond+, that is 2% of the players)

It is all of these things together that I think make him such a pain. Garen is supposed to be a slow monster, yet he has a 30% movement speed buff with a 8 second CD, and 340 movement speed... I would think he would at least have 330-335 movement speed, you know like actually slow champions.

garen is trash early and shouldn't be winning lane in most matchups his sustain is ass pre-11 if R wasn't an execute there'd be no point to the spell villain is a dumb gimmick i agree Q is the slowest AA reset in the entire game and you can do your full combo before being hit by it thus rendering silence moot shred is no higher than anyone else's only happens if you're fighting in the jungle one of the least safe picks at any elo because he has legitimate hard lane counters that can trash him from level 1

also:

exclusively melee range
only a meager speed up for mobility

Garen has a few noobtraps that can trip up newer players on him such as his E dealing AoE damage. Villain is also stupid, he didn't need true damage.

He is a bit BS, but there're reasons why he is not pick-banned. Pick him up and see what irks you. Some will be champion specific (Syndra infinite kite and tank-busting ADCs ruining your day), others might surprise you.

Imo, "noob" champions should never be meta (stuff like Garen Annie Ashe you know the basic ones) and shouldn't be able to be strong picks. They're extremely easy to play, and playing champions that require "more skill" shouldn't be inherently useless due to the fact that these champions are stronger than you with less effort input. They should only be viable if mastered and played by mains (stating Annie Ashe ) , not being safe picks that shit on everything (which is the case for Garen )

I mean, what the fuck is this idea to reward players for losing their lane with the vilain mechanic ?

apart the joke, he's annoying but he's one of the most kitable/ avoidable tanks. He Can run fast but He can be zoned and cannot engage alone in teamfights. Just dont disrespect him in duels :)

Oh no! He can run at me with like a 90ms boost for 3.5 seconds! If only other toplaners had slows, hard cc or dashes to somehow counter that earily on! Oh wait... They do!

Now, obviously Wukong does not, but that champion is around as well designed for toplane as Ashe is currently

The only thing I would not mind being changed is the Villain mechanic. The whole punishing you for doing well thing is simply a bullshit mechanic that needs changing.

Nope, you're completely right but Aatrox and Akali are the same, or pfft, EVEN worse Q? Triple knock up?!? R can revive you WHILE YOU MOVE?! you can have R GA AND A ZHONYAS?! Akali W can't be targeted by towers?!? R Has CC?! lets be real no one will win a game against a team that has Aatrox, Twitch, Akali, Vayne, Braum. NO ONE WILL. Unless by the gods they have no map awareness and you split push..
