[PBE] Okay, so not even supports are going to be able to regenerate mana soon

6/16 PBE Update

item 3069 and item 3504 both are getting mana regen nerfs (albeit getting other improvements), with item 3174 still not giving those who pick it up enough mana regen for when you really need it (when you're mana-burned). You're still mana-burning frequently as enchanters or support mages because your base mana regen isn't multiplied nearly enough.

Probably intentional that everyone has mana famine, right?

Don't forget Sona is going to be more spammy as well and supports don't buy extra mana.

I've got no clue what riot is trying to do with supports recently. I mean tank supports will build tank, but non-tanks they are just doing random stuff left and right at the moment.

Punishing other support like Lulu and Nami because of the Sona changes doesnt seem like a good idea.

Lulu and Nami have shields or heals, which can be increased via item 3504 and/or item 3222 and Lulu's shield can be double buffed to heal via item 3174 (which then would be buffed by one or both of the previous items, which can stack due to them not being a unique passive) So it is not punishing as much as moving around the power. Nami with a lvl 5 w can heal for 185. 185 + 30% is 240. Nami needs 185 ap to match that without the items. Add in the 60 ap from the item 3504 and you have 264 health per heal with only two items.

I'm talking about mana regen. Lulu and Nami already have mana issue in the early and mid game. Less of a problem in the late game but with those mana regen nerf it could be an issue.

Unless this is Riot's way of pushing athene as core in support.

Why would Athene be an absolute core when Malki's gives you(or will give you) double the mana regen(150% to Athene's 75%) a cleanse, 15% shield and heal power, and the same mana/health regen passive? Athens is for when you do more poking than shielding(Karma, Morgana, Lulu, Sona, Bard) And Malki's would be for those who don't do as much poking or their shields/heals come too often for the blood stacks to built up well(Janna, Soraka, Nami(depending on how you play) aka: the passive lanes)

o my god we have to manage mana? omfg so fucking annoying, mages and supports r trash xd!

Huh, if anything, FQC + 1 extra mana regen item is just enough.

Holly shit, riot actually read the forums... item 3096 + item 2053, the dream coming true :-)

Funny that when posted it was hated tho: http://boards.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/community-creations-en/PKPcaTdX-sugearly-cdr-on-the-talis-line-rleagueoflegends

just pushing us to play mana less champs.

As a support? Who on earth is a mana-less support champ?! tell me!

define support

The Last Ballad1 votes

Someone who, by some means, helps their lane partner get kills and stay alive. Garen can support, but only in a very small few's hands(like my sister's). However, most do not have the ability to hand off kills a good 90% of the time, so they should stay away from supporting with a off meta support.

In other words, most people suck at supporting, so they should stay with the supports with less kill ability. Most of whom have mana. (other than Shen)

This reminds me of way back in the old days when Shen was actually designed as a support.

I forgot about him(I don't know how, he is second on my list of supports to get).

I strongly disagree. My problem as a support is usually that I have too much mana regen, not too little. Just FQC/talisman and mikhael's together overload me on mana regen, and that's not even counting what I get if I'm a champion that wants an ardent or a grail. Fuck mana regen. I want stats that will actually let me do shit in a fight. I don't need so much regen that I'm at nearly 100% all of the time.
