I actually WANT Sightstone removed

Like, the item is an 800 gold sink chore more than anything else. While any other role is already planning on how to get into the meat and potatoes of their builds, supports gotta worry about 800 gold diversions in the form of Sightstone. Pushing Sightstone's active to the gold item makes it so that we don't have such a clumsy feeling delay on support itemization/satisfaction.

I think it'll be weird to get used to, but something like this should have been done sooner, if anything. Sightstone just feels really bad to build, and very little can be done about it as an item. Putting onto an item that feels better is probably a good solution.

And for people citing the Ardent fiasco: Maybe we should balance support items so they CAN be built early, like we did with Censer, rather than balancing around using 3 kills worth of gold value as a mandatory chore item.

If you play SUPPORT, then understand the meaning of the word. Vision is supports job, and sightstone excels at said job.

game was better before sightstone was in the game, then everybody was responsible for their own wards even though support is primary warder

Totally, I loved having ALL of my income go to consumables after building a couple gp5 items, aegis, and tier 1 boots. Who cares about scaling into the game?

No one said I have to build damage. I'm just trying to build items that actually pertain to the champs I use. Whether they're ap items or not is my decision.
