Riot should NOT buff AP itemization unless every single AP scaling champion is underperforming.

Just up and buffing AP items because people say that they are weak would throw away months of tuning on AP champions. Buffing AP would literally buff every single AP user, so if an AP champ is even a little overtuned, they would immediately become super strong.

Champions are balanced around the current itemization, which has been more-or-less solid since Mid-Season 6. Throwing every balance change made since then out the window because "AP feels weak" would NOT be good for the game.

Keep in mid that if any AP has been underperforming, Riot has buffed them by increasing their AP scaling. This is a much better approach to balancing AP than throwing caution to the wind and saying "let's buff literally everyone who uses AP".

Nobody wants flat buffs, we want usability changes.

We want the power curves of items to be smoothed out, so that you aren't sitting on 2400 of components and 800 gold with 2450 of stats, waiting to complete an item, for five minutes.

We want to be able to pick the item that fits the situation, instead of having a mandated biuild that does a mediocre job of everything.

We want our items to make our skills stronger, instead of pumping gold into utility and cdr until our skills don't need to hold up on their own.

We want to be able to say "More than anything right now, what I need is a large quantity of AP" and actually buy it

It's a lot easier to buff the items and nerf the few mages who are already doing well than it is to buff all of the mages who aren't doing well.

I can understand the concern, but if we explode every change made to the game, we may as well just expire from the stress. That aside, I could also make a remark in regards into the current state of lethality... but eh.

So buffing Rylai's somehow makes Anivia stronger? Not how that works.

Buffing Dcap won't buff AP across the board, either. It would just make it a cost-effective item that's actually worth building in games that aren't a 20 minute blowout.
