Aurelion Sol needs his DEADZONE removed

The reason im posting this is i was just in a game as a fizz... an aurelion sol dove in on me near dragon, he had full HP, i had literally 50 HP as a fizz ( i know fizz hate incoming, but thats not the point ) i was somehow able to dodge his ult ( not with my E, i luckily side stepped it ) and from there i stuck right up against him and managed to come out the victor of the fight....

when i say i had 50 hp.... i literally had 50 hp upon engage... i have grasp of the undying so his autos werent enough to kill me... but here is the issue i have with aurelion sols dead zone... its completely exploitable

Yes his power is very strong from a mid - long range perspective... but champions who can hard dive and stick to someone make aurelion sol useless...

a simple fix to his kit would be allowing his Q to be double tapped... i know alot of people are against this

but no other champion in league has such an exploitable dead zone

The aurelion literally rage quit after that engagement, and honestly i truly feel bad because i thought i was gonna die, and through sheer luck and exploiting the dead zone, i came out the victor against an AS with 1600+ hp, while i had literally 50... thats just not acceptable on any level :-/

sorry riot... fix this champ though....

edit: Maybe allow instead of a double tap of Q, make his ult do not only the straight line shot from his mouth, but the deadzone around him should maybe send things in the direction he is pointing his ult...

give this champion some love because it wasnt even satisfying winning that engagement because there was literally nothing he could have done

The whole point of having the dead zone is that Aurelion Sol is SUPPOSED to be weak to champions that can close the gap and get into his comfort zone. Being able to double-tap Starsurge would remove one of his intended weaknesses and make him much harder to balance. Sure, it feels awful for the Aurelion Sol player, but he should have been playing further out and respecting the fact that Fizz is designed to get in close.

Why didn't he basic attack you?

Aurelion sol main with 91k mastery points here.

There is a way that you can circumnavigate his dead zone weakness, at least somewhat. When dealing with a particularly mobile assassin, buying more AP isn't going to help. All of that damage isn't going to help if you can't line yourself up to use it in the first place.

Instead, buy Deadmans. The item has an interesting synergy with Aurelion. He does not need to use his auto attacks since most of his power is loaded into his W. This allows him to hold onto the Move Speed for as long as he wants. And should he be engaged upon, the extra tankiness will allow him to survive the initial burst, and the movespeed will allow him to line up an easy Q after gaining some distance.

Try it out. He's actually quite strong with the movespeed and it'll help your W positioning, chasing, and kiting in teamfights as well.

When I tried Aurelion Sol on free week it didn't feel like I had a dead zone at all. Landing a Q at close range wasn't a sure thing but it could hit melee targets if i fired in the right direction.

Also, he has an R button which is what you're supposed to need to resort to when enemies get on top of you.

Seriously, NO CHAMP should drop to 0% usefulness. No champ DOES. With the stun duration on his q nerfed and so many melee with hard gap closers, he NEEDS a double tap q in this meta....

The reason im posting this is i was just in a game as a fizz-

Stopped reading. Like why would you ever have the rights to complain about anything as Fizz?

I know exactly what you mean! Quinn's lunge also exploits this...and I've done it countless times...figuring it was a sheer mechanic that could normally be utilized... But after reading this, AS should be able to "detonate" his deadzone like lux can detonate her particularly annoying skill.

But... That's just me.

And Xerath needs more skillshots, right?

Also doesn't help that Aurelion Sol is weak, and Fizz is strong.

with the hextech belt I think AS is going to be good and able to make up for him being well shit dash q should help fuck up that whole dead zone biz thats my prediction
