Current State of the Game and Why We Shouldn't Be so Demanding

I want everybody to hear this.

Realize that we're crying about the state of the game, when Riot is in the process of fixing things. We're being ungrateful toddlers who want more and more with our tone, and I'll tell you why.

Yes, damage is high right now. Zed can 1shot with a 1kill lead, as can phase rush darius. Just a couple of examples. Damage across the board is through the roof. One of the biggest problems with this is how quickly a single gank can influence the game. Gank kills should be less rewarding than purely skill expressive solo kills (more easily obtained gank kills are currently worth 50% more gold than solo kills.) With the damage creep, this just leads to abusive power gaps becoming too easily obtainable.

Ok, but to look at the good. Roles are the most balanced we've seen in a while. Let me explain. Top lane is still an island. Minimal impact over the game early. However, bruisers are op, right? Fiora for example. So you get to play the strongest champs, but you have no teamwide impact early. More about solo expression early. Mid lane got its mana nerfed, meaning less braindead shoving. ADC DID get nerfed. Admit it, these changes are nerfs to marksmen. Yeah, they still do the most damage end game. Like theyre supposed to. Supports? Stripped of their insanely op gold income item passives. Remember when FQC gave +50% ms on damage? Yeah, what the hell was that. Gone. When's the last time you looked at the gold efficiency of going from Frostfang to Eye of the Watchers in 2018? Go double check (its negatively gold efficient with the only bonus passive being +1 max ward). Jungle? Nerfed. Jg still gets experience late game, but laners have more time to play without worrying about getting cheesed at level 2 quite so much.

TL;DR? You shouldve just read it anyways but: The game's ROLES are in a great spot and we should be happy for this; however, damage is still too high across the board. I simply think that our tone towards Riot in asking for the damage to be lowered is a little too demanding, with how much positive change we've seen. Going back to the damage thing, one-shot potential should be unlocked for assassins at a higher gold advantadge threshold. All the damage is really high, meaning fights end abruptly after 10 minutes of just farming (with frustrating farming under tower mechanics, might I add), which is less than gripping gameplay.

We have a ways to go, but appreciate how far we've come. Thanks for your time in reading.

This statement is wrong, we didn't come this far, we jumped down and are half-way to re-climbing to where we were.

We're being ungrateful toddlers

They are doing a poor job of balancing the game. So we tell them that they are doing a bad job and suggest some potential solutions to problems. They ignore us and continue to do a poor job.

If your doctor fucked something up and gave you the wrong pills how pissed would you be?

Also the term "ungrateful" is kind of stupid. What should we be thankful for exactly?

Top lane is still an island. Minimal impact over the game early. However, bruisers are op, right? Fiora for example.

If by Bruisers you mean Irelia and Camille then yeah I guess. They are super OP. By that logic we need to nerf ADCs even further because Kai'Sa is busted.

Jungle? Nerfed. Jg still gets experience late game, but laners have more time to play without worrying about getting cheesed at level 2 quite so much.

There aren't many people that like the crab changes. Again, a poor job is done here and last time I checked their late game scaling sucked total ass.

They wanted to diverse AP builds, the AP itemization rework basically made it so you either get Ludens or Tear or ROA first then go double pen and after that it depends what you need.

So the item rework didn't open up new builds or anything. Again, poor job. The solution of fixing the tank problem was to introduce an abundance of true damage, again a poor job.

Why should we be happy? It was never a problem, it was made a problem and it is to some degree still a problem. We shouldn't be happy. There is nothing to be happy about, we only walked back and are halfway through of walking to the same spot we were a year ago. We didn't make any progress, we are doing the same mistakes we did in the past, we didn't gain any experience and no solution to this can be seen in the horizon.

We haven't come or gotten anywhere. We fell, and we are trying to stand back up but it seems like we broke both our legs.
