I have been trying to solo it lately with Elise, using the spiderlings as dummies while i sneak behind it, but everytime happens that the eye at the back suffers only an auto attack and then closes the lid, while in many different videos it is shown that the eye stays open for at least two or even three attacks. It opens again later on, but then again suffers only an auto attack.
I am doing something wrong?

Is this one? I always understood that the bug kept the eye open but prevented further chances of receiving damage. Maybe my english is not the best :P

Devourers vi can solo baron with just sated, botrk, and guinsoo. i dont see why elise can- oh wait elise isnt a devourer champ...

But low-level solos like that are at the most optimal times for junglers like that; its when their damage vs its damage actually peak. I assumed you were talking about the standard 15~19 minute rift herald solo, not bonkers shenanigans :P

Does it proc more than once in the videos youve watched?
Decrit1 votesYup, in the one i linked it procs twice and could proc even a third, and in other vids it is possible to proc more than once.
