Ranked Is Not Based Off Skill

Every game for the past 2 days have been the same. No matter how many times you gank people (I main top), no matter how many kills you get, no matter how many towers you destroy, you will lose because your team doesnt know how to group/listen/focus.

This is my recents, and ive been ganking constantly. Winning my lane and mid lane (I cant stay bot much due to top getting pushed). I take both my towers, and even the inhib sometimes, and yet bot wont even have their tower destroyed!?!? This shit is pissing me off, I was on a 16 win streak 3 days ago, and once I got to Gold 4 ive been getting these shitty games. Ranked is not based on how well you are. In ranked this is how teams will look. You'll have 2 unranked players first timing their champ, 1 silver, and 1 gold, then yourself versing 2 plats, and 3 golds. The only way you can actually win in this game is through abusing Dynamic Que or having a team with a brain. Down vote this for saying the truth, because toxic behavior is not liked by the Riot community.

well it seems to me you pick the same champs every game regardless of whats on the other team.

you build the same way every single game, regardless of whos on the enemy team.

and your cs is below average, so i think you are where you belong for now, at least until you can start improving your CS.

If i sit in lane all game, farming, id end up going 5/3/2 with 382 cs at the 45 minute mark. And we'd lose. Ive already tried that out before.

Also..

well it seems to me you pick the same champs every game regardless of whats on the other team.

Makes 0 sense at all. I was playing Jayce in Gold V every game on my 16 win streak, building the exact same thing (I switched between item 3110 & item 3025 depending on enemy comp). Even Tyler 1 makes it to challenger using the same champ over and over.

You have so many deaths. My guess is your losses are primarily due to you flaming your team, so regardless of how well you do, your toxicity makes them perform poorly.

ItsOrval1 votes

My deaths are from those bronze team fight plays, You know what im talking about? When your team is going in, then you go in, get them to one shots, and your team runs. That is why I keep dying.

A friend of mine is at gold 2 with 1 win in his promos and he plays 100% of the time solo. DQ makes it harder, but not impossible to climb.

Also, some math:

Assuming that Riot is not putting trolls in your team just for the lolz (and they aren't, it's bad for business), and assuming you're not a troll, there are 4 slots for trolls in your team, while 5 slots for the enemy team. To put it shortly: You're more likely to have a troll/feeder in your team, than in the enemy team.

Also, regarding the matchmaking: it's based on someone's MMR, not in their league. While there is a connection between the two, they are not necessarily directly related. You can have a Silver player with Gold MMR because he's above his league, and you can have a Plat player with Gold MMR because he's below his league.

Try playing a role with more map influence.

Top lane is the lane that affects the outcome of the game the least in yolo q for 6 straight seasons. Every other role has greater influence in the outcome.

But the other lanes i hate.. Jungling is boring af, ADC and support i dont like due to having to make sure my laner partner knows what theyre doing (When im support and i get them to a one shot, my laner will just sit back and farm lul), mid lane is where you get ganked 24/7, and the best part about mid, is when the enemy bot lane will come mid along with the jungler, so I have to 1v4, while my bot lane is just sitting down there farming, and my jungler will always be at krugs farming not coming.

I like playing top because I go tower hunting. I guess I need to get bot tower first, beens they never want to destroy theirs. Back on my 16 win streak id be taking 7 towers a match with Jayce (and most the other towers that get destroyed would have an assist by me).

Why would you want to group as nocturne? Zero siege potential and is horrible for team fights. You seem to fail to realize nocturne is strong at making picks, not team fighting. Looks like you've reached an ELO where people can abuse his shitty team fight potential and just blow you up if you dive into them lol.

Another funny thing is you absolutely refuse to build any defense despite how many times you keep doing. That's allllllll on you.

ItsOrval1 votes

I was 7/0 at 20 minutes in, then the enemy started to group. When the team went in, id ult their ADC killing him instantly, but my team would just run away. You cant pick people off when theyre always grouped late game.

Eedat1 votes

Correct. You can't pick people off when they're grouped which is why you need defensive items to be relevant part that point. You're building full glass cannon and getting blown up. You blew up a carry. OK. Then you get blown up. So you killed a carry and fed a carry. How is that accomplishing anything?

ItsOrval1 votes

Technically i fed a Naut support, the adc didnt even live long enough to get the assist. But if my team would just all in like theyre doing, instead of backing away right when i ult, things would work correctly.

i felt the same way many times. I just agree with you, but I Think this problem usually happend when you play LOL for so many hours. you start getting bad players, and this start affecting you mmr so much were you going to be in a situation of just doing 9 or 13 points per win and losing 20 or 22 or more per lost. I really considere this unfair. cause in a game designed to give you a 50% chance, giving you less points per win vs more points when you lose. is just a maded way to force you to be demoted. i dont agree with that part i consider that very unfair. the part of getting harder games its ok, you just decide when you stop.

I red the comments so far is good to learn from them but no everybody face the same problems since most of people spend average time on LOL they will never understand your situation. in other hands if you play average time then pay close attention to the comments cause can help you. that is my opinion i hope it help you.

Based on what I see, sometimes you do slightly better than your rank and a lot of times you do significantly worse than your rank. You will not climb under those conditions. Yes, I concur, sometimes you'll get heavy as shit teams that aren't going to carry, but in order to climb quickly in league you need to be the one capable of doing the carrying.

Work on dying less, CSing more and getting the objectives in your lane. The win condition you need to get used to at your elo for a top laner is being able to push top all the way to the enemy inhibitor, giving your team as much global gold as possible. You will need to get fed off your lane opponent so hard that if you get ganked you can 2v1. Then you need to be able to go to other lanes and force down towers for more global gold. If you do this you'll win. Rotating to other lanes before getting yours to the inhibitor tower is pointless.

This may seem like a lot, but all my top lane main friends that play on smurfs at your elo do exactly this method to win consistently. As a jungler I do something similiar but instead of focusing just 1 lane full of towers I instead focus on counter jungling until the enemy jungler has 2-3 levels behind while pushing down every tower I possibly could, regardless of lane.

If you think your team is bad, throw about 2k in their wallets and they will outperform the enemy team. The reason for this is because your team mates are actually about even to your opponent's skill level which means the team with more gold/items wins.

But i did tho. I got first blood in lane. Ganked bot and got 2 kills (3 minute mark). Was 3/0, got 2 more kills top. Ganked mid. Took top tower, 2nd top tower, 3rd top but couldnt get inhib in time. Then after that there was nothing to do. Bot lane was dying nonstop, the enemy would be grouped in mid, when we'd team battle my team would just run right when they go in.

but in order to climb quickly in league you need to be the one capable of doing the carrying.

Ok, whats the difference between these 2 images then? In my opinion, they both show that im carrying, but im losing in the second pic.

Most most of your wins you didn't die a whole lot, in most of your losses you died a lot, you can't carry when dead. In most of your wins your GPM is good, in most of your losses your GPM is bad, probably from being dead too much.

After you won a bunch of games the people you went against became harder, this is how ranked works. If you win like 14 games in a row you have to expect that eventually the same methods aren't going to work any more and you'll need to alter your methods to go against the harder opponents.

I also see that you use cookie cutter builds, if you want to be able to win consistently while spamming the same champ again and again (Something I am NOT opposed to at all) then you need to learn more builds so that you can counter different match ups and different enemy team comps.

You should have at least 5 different builds/build paths for your main champion/s in order to climb consistently. Spamming the same exact build every single game shows a lack of game knowledge.

Your champion might have 1-2 core items, but past that you need to learn about situational items.

ItsOrval1 votes

My core items on Jayce is Muramana (Obviously), youmuus, Ionian boots, and last whisper. The other two are situational defense items. If enemy team has a lot of basic attack champs, I get Frozen Heart, if not then i get Frozen Gauntlet. If the enemy team has champs like veigar/leblanc that can pop you instantly, I get maw, if theyre all ad I get steraks, if they have a lot of CC i get Banshee. But ive tried your just farm for cs last game, and it worked well. But my team was already fed as is so I cant say i carried.
