No but seriously, why is noone discussing the inevitable issues with qiyana: She's just Irelia 3

I just posted something, they removed it and told me to go into memes and games, so no meme this time. This champion is exactly the type of champion I enjoy BUT frankly these champions that I like don't fit into the game due to lack of micro skill expression in duels across at least 75% of the roster. This means that a champion like vel'koz mastered does not have the options or utility of a champion like yasuo fully mastered. This means that two equally skilled players have an unequal playing field due to the disparity of skill cap on their respective champions...

So now that you guys have largely won the push to nerf Irelia, Akali, Riven, and others of their ilk, we see Qiyana on the verge of release. If anyone thinks that she's not going to be another dashy hyper skill based triforce rush styled bruiser instead of the 'assassin' riot claims she'll be, then they're wrong.

So now what? She's going to get released, Raged about, nerfed into obscurity, and then riot will release another champion that is low skill cap which will further cement the issue instead of getting this massive elephant out of the room (Side note: Why isn't there an elephant champion? Indian mythology is fucking cool as hell, and I mean that objectively)

so here's where I stand, riot games needs to continue reworks and increasing the skill ceiling of every champion across the board, the idea of 'the first guy to make a mistake loses' being not an expression of skill when you're the guy who didn't make a mistake during the fight is shallow and vindictive. The truth is, champions who don't fit in the niche of 'near infinite ceiling' are actually bad for the game, because they disallow full skill expression. This does not mean macro should be nerfed, it means micro should be buffed. Macro skill is always capped at the pilot's skill level, Micro should also be.

Qiyana will be released, all the displaced akali mains will jump on her, then she will get allcaps rageposted 6 times a day with thousands of upvotes, and she will be nerfed to shit. Riot will not address the issue of limiting expression being the primary grevience of most players whether they realize it or not... or should I say, the feeling of just getting stat checked.

Noone likes getting 1shot, noone likes any form of stat checking be it a tank, a fighter, or a mage. Because it is infinitely more satisfying to lose in a skill based duel then it is to win in a stat check.
