@Riot You guys completely missed target all together with Maw nerfs.

Removing the attackspeed and lowering the MR? It's obvious that's not even remotely the problem here. The problem is that Maw's shield has no counter play.

1. The the shield is far too large on both hexdrinker and maw to the point the shield alone with almost guarantee a win with AD mid laners.

2. The cooldown on it is stupidly low for how good the shield is. 90s? There's no window of opportunity to overcome the shield and potentially bring back a lane with this. AD mid laner plays the farm game till they get the 1300 gold for hexdrinker, they back at level 6 to buy it, once they come back to lane they immediately all in their AP laner winning by default from the shield and the fact that seekers isn't strong enough to actually counter hex, then they repeat the process enough times because the passive will always be up before the AP laners ult and then get fed and get maw to completely invalidate the mid laner from his lane. Now you could say buy an hourglass, but besides the active you're too behind to deal damage and the tons of flat pen that will be available to the AD champion in the next cheap item they get will also completely nullify what little bit of defensive stats hourglass provides.

This is a defensive item and as such combat stats should be the stats getting heavily nerfed with the shield getting a much longer CD to atleast allow for a window to fight. flat pen should be removed, AD should be lowered to 40, and finally the CD on the shield should be above 100s at minimum.
