What do one-tricks do when they get their secondary role?
Do you just dodge? Or do you play it through? Dodging seems attractive lately but I'm not sure what the penalties are, I've never done it

Lose?
Normally one-tricks learn how to play their champion in another role. If you one-trick a champion that has a hard time fitting into any other role in the game then you're going to have a bad time. You'll need to dodge the game, or you'll need to commit to taking losses in order to learn the champion in whatever role you chose to queue up for as your secondary.
Most champions have a second role that they can perform okay in.
Play my other one trick I practice when I grow tired of Sona Shenanigans.
For supporting I also play Braum and Taric, although I don't often.
My back up role ADC is MF & Varus.
I don't often play Sona in Norms, but I play the others, when I'm not learning a new lane/champ.
As a supp main, i never get my secondary role XD
my 1 trick ap ezreal can be played bot or mid, when i get autofilled i dodge.
two basic several options: play your champion off-lane. play your backup champion.
Play off-role or dodge
I one-trick Talon and if I'm get sent to my secondary role (Top or jungle), I just play it through. If you're one-tricking, you should know the champ well enough to play them in multiple roles.
Dodging, by the way, leads to about a 5 minute timer on searching for another game and a loss of 3 LP (on the first time). The penalties increase if you continue dodging in a row.
