Jungling sucks alone. Top lane is lonely. SO!

What if they cooperate?

The idea is that top takes smite, tag teams the early jungle and top lane with the jungler, and is rewarded with red or blue buff when both smites are up again. Then the jungler would leave, buy a machete upgrade and start roaming like normal. It would take a little coordination but I can imagine it being really fun and* really *effective.

How it would start: Top takes smite and uses it to help the jungler kill krugs or gromp. The jungler then GANKS AT LEVEL TWO WHILE THE OTHER POOR SAP AT TOP JUST GETS TO TOPLANE. The jungler then stays toplane until both smites are up again; in the meantime the jungler takes CS for the first two creep waves. Next, when both smites are up again, the jungler helps top lane take red or blue, whichever is closest. Finally the jungler recalls for a machete upgrade and clears the rest of the jungle. Later on, top lane invests in another machete item to make more use of Smite and to kill jungle creeps on his own.

In short: 1.) Top and jungle instagib the first jungle buff 2.) Together they DOMINATE early top lane 2a.) The jungler takes 2 creep waves of CS for his machete upgrade 3.) The jungler helps top lane take red or blue, whichever is closer (4 smites used now) 4.) The jungler leaves to buy his machete upgrade and clears the rest of the jungle 5.) The top laner eventually invests in a machete item by building items for an enchantment first (item 3715 would be good) 6.) The top laner and jungler are now interchangeable; if one has a bad matchup they can switch.

Try this out and let me know how it goes. I really think this strategy could end up being a really big deal, and it can start with you and a friend and wrecking face together!

As someone who double jungles on occasion, I can see the merit in this.

The dragon control is real.

Someone will have to substitute flash for smite, unfortunately, but if you can get way ahead then it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Or take a champion with some kind of wall-hopping ability to compensate.

There won't be as much early dragon control as a toplaner that takes teleport.

But top lane will get stomped as it will be a 2v1 involving a level 2 right off the bat, top will get a jungle buff and jungle will get some real gold/exp to help get them off the ground. That's the real merit to this strat imo.

edit: No, Flash wouldn't be substituted for Smite! Of course not dude. Teleport or Ignite would be substituted.
