I'd prefer tanks/bruisers having more HP to literally everyone dying in sub-4 seconds in teamfights.

I get it, Riot: you need games to be short. Well, you know what would help with that? If tanks could tank for longer lategame.

If a tank and a single carry stay alive with any semblance of health after an ace, they can take out multiple objectives. Yet tanks are always the ones that are dead first. It's frankly disgusting seeing how useless they are in comparison to their carry counterparts. Literally all they do is engage for the carries; it is their life and death and it's extremely un-fun to both watch and play.

To the point: why should tanks' finished items give flat HP and not %HP? How many HP items do carries buy now - none besides Trinity Force, right? Make finished items scale with max health so that additional HP items don't feel like a drop in the bucket lategame and armor and MR can stop being a mediocre stat on them; to make sure that HP scaling abilities on champions and items like Titanic then isn't ridiculous, REDUCE the scaling as champions gain levels (i.e. 5% at level 1 down to 2.5% by level 18) so that these items don't break tanks' kits once they get ahold of them! That way once they have 5k+ health they can't become a carry themselves and create yet another problem!

If tanks and bruisers/juggernauts could survive even one additional rotation come lategame it would be very beneficial to the game, as SOMEone on most teams would then be able to initiate or start dueling a hypercarry without exploding in seconds and could therefore be designated as an initiator. Items might not even be the best way to implement this but more health needs to be injected into the game somewhere; why not give it to the champions that are supposed to have it, especially since they're in the easiest classes to keep from getting out of hand? To make the game healthy again there needs to be health in the first place, Riot!

I'm glad I'm not the only one to think this, but I'd rather nerf damage so that it allows tanks to do their job, but would be enough to mop mages and carries as intended.

Tanks do their job. The game has high damage so if 2 assassins all-in each other, the fight is going to be less than a second, right?

Even if a tank dies in 4 seconds from taking all the burst of the enemy team, they just accomplished 2 things:

1.)The enemy team's skills and possibly ultimates are now on cooldown 2.)The tank just bought his team's assassins and damage dealers 4 seconds of time to burst the enemy team.

There's a reason why the meta isn't 5 assassins/ADCs

A tank is suppose to be dying first, thats how you know he does his job well. You're suppose to soak, disrupt and control the enemy, if you're being ignored you didnt do your job.

I dont think tanks should be able to stand in the middle of the enemy team for 5+ seconds reliably without spreading their CC apropriatly, which if they do, even now in this high damage meta, they can survive quite reliably.

You want tank meta? No way. Never. Tanks should be removed from the game entirely. Let us see the flashy plays with 999999 mobility, and skillshots everywhere. Let us see the jedi reflexes at work as the challenger Yasuo outplays everyone, and scores a penta.

Jokes aside tanks are great for midgame, then lose at lategame. What we need is just a cap on armor, and magic pen. Right now you can get 75% armor pen, or/and 50% magic pen.. A part of that armor pen. comes from the Black Cleaver which has 2 extra effect.

  1. By reducing armor your teammates also benefit.
  2. Skills, that scales with armor also gets reduced. Yep you give a nice bit of damage reduction to guys like Rammus, or Malphite.

I know for sure 3 champs, that can kill tanks in lategame 1v1 in less than 3 second. This number should be 0.

Bruisers wouldnt build those kinds of items, one per game at best. Only actuakltanks and some juggernauts would like those

I've said it before, and I think it'd be worth a patch cycle to test: Nerf damage across the board by 10 percent. Nerf healing by 10 percent. Adjust armor and magic resistance to have the same relative values with the new damage. This keeps everything as it was, but natural HP scaling is allowed to cushion more hits.

Also cut the damage from tanks they gave them too much dmg. Give their defenses but cut some of their dmg they re tanks not damage dealers. I mean these ones Leona Thresh Nautilus Sejuani have lots of dmg.

What I want to know is why irelia has more hp growth than any champ in the game, including tanks and juggernauts. I also want to know why, when they changed the rune system and handed out buffs to compensate, champs like fizz got hp growth buffs (from 90 to 100), and juggernauts like darius (who used to have the highest growth in game because he's so dependent on naturally high hp due to lack of mobility or defensive abilities) received NO hp growth buffs. For reference, darius used to have 100/lvl and he STILL only receives 100/lvl, while MOBILE ASSASSINS like fizz have 100/lvl now, and a MOBILE FIGHTER like Irelia who have better CC and more defensive abilities in kit, and better assassination potential/target access, has BETTER HP growth. Like wow wtf riot. That's absurd.

Question: If bruisers have more HP and they deal more damage than tanks, why would you ever play a tank?

I appreciate the intention of the post, but the last thing the Irelias and Aatroxes of the world need is more HP. Tanks with more HP, sing me in. Bruisers? Please no.

If nothing else Riot could probably at least buff item 3193 as nobody outside of tanks are likely to ever build it and even tanks don't always build it because well resistances aren't always that useful (especially against % penetration or true damage) and because it is terrible in lane

The active is actually decent for increasing a tanks durability
