Let's talk about Kassadin! :D

I haven't heard anyone talk about him lately, and I'm interested in you guy's opinions. As a reminder, his ult was nerfed hard, and now he has the second worst winrate NA (in all regions actually D:), even afer his ult was buffed a bit (a whopping 50 extra range and lower cooldown). Up vote so we can hear as many people as possible and so Riot can hear our voices. :D

My opinion is that the nerf was very unjustified. Riot said that he could ignore the front line, but his ult was 700 range long, so if the front line is 350 units away and the softies is 700, he is dangerously close to any tank or bruiser making up the front the line (Most champs can walk that range in about a second :P). Even after he warps, now he's still dangerously close to the tanks and bruisers and near the CC load mage/support and the adc and other assassin who will be wailing on him while he's stuck in place! This is all assuming I'm not CC'd during the delay of my ult! D:<

The only way for him to feasibly do this would be to warp in while the team is distracted, which is totally fair. Even if I ambush, few teams are spread enough for me not to get jumped. You might bring up item 3157, except for most of the game, the ult's cooldown was 7 and 5, and I still have to actually kill my target, which weakens me to disruptive spells.

And the strangest part is, Kassadin wasn't in that bad of a spot compared to most other assassins. No one really complained about him, yet he was pretty good in my experience (I got 50 kills with him once xD). I've even seen him get picked once or twice in the LCS last year. Since the nerf didn't make sense to me at all, I guess I'll never know what had went though the balance team's minds...

So what do you think about Kassadin?

I think he's in a good spot right now. Been playing him to some success at D1~D2 at top lane and he's a good counterpick against le'blanc and katarina which are two usual mids you see nowadays
