To everyone complaining about CertainlyT

Personally, I think CertainlyT has made some of the most interesting champions in league. Kicking him out would be a great loss for the majority of the community, who don't want:

  • Every champion to move at 1ms
  • No gapclosers
  • Every ability a point and click
  • No champions which make flashy plays allowed
  • Sona, Veigar and Viktor must be immune to nerfs, or we're all quitting league.
  • Zed, Lee sin, anyone with any form of mobility, except kassadin who we love, must be permanently deleted.

Obviously this is not a popular opinion here on the forums, but you guys have to start realising that just maybe CertainlyT isn't the only one creating champions percieved as 'Toxic'. To some people, veigar is toxic, but that doesn't mean whoever created veigar shouldn't be kicked out.

Maybe i'm in the minority, I certainly am on these forums, but maybe you guys are the minority in the league community, who knows, short of putting a poll on the league client, we will never know.

I would say that CertainlyT is a great designer who has a few problems with one or two abilities / passives, for example:

  • Yasuo's double crit, I love yasuo, but I agree that this is toxic, and is preventing the rest of his kit from being buffed.
  • Zed's bonus W damage, this likely wasn't even CertainlyT, but a member of the balance team who added it because he was underpowered during testing

TL;DNR

  • CertainlyT is a great designer, stop trying to ruin a man's career because of a few abilities you don't like.
  • Don't blame him for numbers, they are to do with the balance team.
  • Many people work on a single champion, you can't blame the one guy who happened to work on them all, there are other 'broken' champions in league who CertainlyT didn't work on.
  • Don't speak for the community, speak for yourself and see if they agree.

His champs are fun and interesting, no one disputes that.

It's just that they are obnoxious to lane against as any champ NOT created by CertainlyT.

His champions tend to have direct counters, but be direct counters to others. There are many champions who have an easy lane against a CertainlyT champion; Liss, lb, Vi, Kata into Zed, to name a few.

Also, even if you are right, iare these really grounds to have him fired from riot?

in league getting counter picked means that enemy has an innate advantage becuase of his kit working well againts yours so its hard but still winnable for you CertainlyT breaks that

Well the owerall point of everyone who hates him is "His champions are fun to play, but he breaks too many design rules and in the end the existance of his champions causes an unfun/toxic/unballanceable experience"

Not really, unless you think every champion should have an even matchup against everyone? How does he break that, you haven't explained.

Give me an example to work with here, I can't talk this generally.

renekton vs riven ?

renek can eat riven, but that does not mean that riven should just afk at the fountain, she still has options to fight renekton and even win vs renekton

katarina vs vel koz vel koz is countered, but he still has options to win

kalista vs ezreal ezreal can just quit

kalista vs lulu who cares that lulu has low damage, she uses a point and click cc so kalista is removed from the game

counterpicking means having an advantage, not removing the enemy from the game, thats where certainlyT causes a problem (one of many)

I've played ezreal into kalista before, and whilst its not a matchup in your favour, its winnable. I'm struggling to find the match history, but if I do, I'll post it.

I understand your point, but I honestly believe that his champion's are playable against.

well you failed and realy embarassed yourself here man

everyone who rages about certainlyT is saing his champions are fun but we hate how they are toxic and unballanceable so conns outweight the pros here since everyone of us will be at recieving end of his champion design

and at pax design panel he even said that he wants his champions to be like this, tester said it to him that his champion (thresh) is wrecking the game, and he didnt give a crap

i literaly lost my crap when he said he wants thresh to be a support a jungler a tank and a carry

kalista hops everyone to death and dodges all skillshots, we should lower her number becuase that will help anything besides completly destroying her

nobody complains about the numbers, people complain that ballance team cant realy do anything with those guys, they nerfed yasuo ower and ower and he still does fine, thresh the same, kalista will also be probably the same

there are other 'broken' champions in league who CertainlyT didn't work on.

all of them probably sheduled for rework becuase they were branded toxic and now certainlyT pops out and creates champions who are toxic for the same reasons

you defend him .. ok ... but let me be objective here. the only valid argument to defend him is that his champions are fun to play while there are loads of arguments saying that his designs are bad for the game experience owerall and thats the main argument of the people who dont agree with his design

im personaly with them i love playing yasuo and kalista, but i realy hate being on the other team, and im fully aware that becuase of certainlyT's philosophy those champions will never be ballanced unless they are reworked and their kits get changed

the guy is a champion designer and im preety sure he is smart enough to keep the core functions of those champions but at the same time make them fair and ballanceable

No they aren't, some are, but only the more rational ones. They aren't toxic and they can be balanced. Most of them are in most people's eyes. I would definitely not consider Thresh overpowered, he's just a strong pick.

no you embarased yourself because thats the opinion of everyone who disagrees with certainlyT's design

and they can be balanced.

couple of examples thresh - tonns of nerfs still realy good support (then what was he before the nerfs if his strenght didnt get reduced ?) yasuo- tonns of nerfs, the only thing that changed is that yasuo can now lose a lane and be useless, but if he goes even or winns its like nerfs didnt even happen

Toxic or not, Veigar wasn't OP.

Have you seen old 80+% Ban rate Yasuo, release Thresh that outclassed any support and still does pretty much anything despite the nerfs, and Zed/Kalista? These guys are toxic and have kits that make (or made) them a lot better than other champions. That is the difference.

No, i don't think he was, I'm just using him as an example.

emphasis on the made here, Yasuo is nowhere near as strong as he was, but it is mainly numbers with him. They need to remove his crit passive, and give him numbers buffs across the board.

Wasn't around for release thresh, but I have never been in a game where I have thought, damn that Thresh is so OP, no possible way to fight him. I'd rather lane against a thresh than a blitzcrank.

Zed is in a good spot at the moment, he's strong against some mid lane mages, but he can't beat hem all.

Kalista is the exception to my list, but I believe she can be balanced, and will be. Like all of these, it just takes time.

Sona, Veigar and Viktor must be immune to nerfs, or we're all quitting league.

Why should they even be touched? Two of them were the farthest things from problematic and the one that Riot hasn't ruined yet is arguably the most balanced mage in the game.

That was a reference to that post which has been trending for a while about Viktor nerfs, even though there was no suggestion from Riot that they were going to nerf him.
