Bronze scrub here trying to get help from people who have experience with Shaco.

Simple question: which hydra is better on him and why?

Do you like sustain? Ravenous.

Are you building a lot of health? Titanic.

Depends how the game is going. Getting your ass handed to you? Titanic into bruiser.

Otherwise Shaco likes Ravenous.

9 times out of 10 Ravenous is going to be better. Shaco lacks natural sustain and AOE clear, both of which Ravenous provides. The damage from Titanic is simply not as noticeable unless you're building a lot of health. Not to mention the waveclear provided by Ravenous is more reliable. The lifesteal from Ravenous allows Shaco is split-push much more effectively, after a gank or even a full teamfight. I'll only buy Titanic if I'm going for a tanky bruiser Shaco build with red smite, Iceborn, Black Cleaver, etc.

As a shaco main, i choose ravenous 9 times out of 10 just because i like life steal... with that being said titanic does have its place against higher burst teams.

More importantly that itemization is learning proper shaco mechanics such as

Always place boxes in places you think enemys will come from, or in a place that gives you an "out" in other words always have one down so you can get away from bad situations

secondly take flash, fuck all this ignite banter, as a dive assassin the worst thing that can happen is to burn your Q at the wrong time, and find yourself up shits creek without a paddle

thirdly, learn how to "particle dodge". Properly timing when you hit your shaco ult, you can dodge ANYTHING in league of legends, even karthus ults. There is a .5 second window in which shaco is removed from the map right before he re-appears with his clone making it the best way to dodge anything in league

4th, learn to "ult hop" aka if you ult as shaco near a wall, similar to the particle dodge, if you spam click the other side of the wall, when you re-appear, you can jump walls using your ult, which lets you save your Q since the ult CD is very low for ults and Q has better range for maneuvers, further more it makes for some of the best jukes ever

item 1400 item 3074 item 3087 = cheese damage item 1412 item 3748 item 3071 = cheese durability

My match history

Ive been dicking around with some other champs, and some games i played bad, but most of my games are 2.5 or higher KDA, and generally i have good farm and map control, while i dont play ranked on this account, my perma banned main account ( yea i use to be a tool ) was D2 for what ever thats worth, but back then i mained TWITCH jungle.

Shaco is one of the most dynamic champs in league, mastering him vs just playing well is the difference between being a "fall off" shaco and being a "late game carry shaco" which despite what people say, ive carried many games with this clown

I have a pretty good grasp on Shaco's mechanics (hell, I've been maining him since Season 2 with a brief period in season 3 where AD jungle fizz became my main), but recently got into an argument with a friend of mine regarding builds.

One thing I noticed on your match history: You tend to ignore item 3087. Any particular reason for that? I've always liked the ultra fast wave clear it provides, not to mention the nice boost to your burst.

for my more recent games i was playing around with other builds because every now and then you just gotta change things up. Shiv is a go to like 95% of the time mainly for its burst, but i was playing around with more "duelist" style builds which as you can immagine didnt pan out too well.

Another fun item to play around with is item 3508 because with warrior you get max CDR which depending on certain games can make you literally uncatchable and it plays well into shacos kit through infinite mana / obvious CDR and the burst it provides. Obviously item 3031 is the bread and butter crit item, but again, matchups dictate build paths.

Ravenous, Reaver and Warrior is the best bait build avaible. You can push and bait people for centuries without ever running out of mana. With Q on a 6 seconds CD, you're the most slipery champion in the game.
