question about assasins and zed

so the thing that bothers me is as follows every assasin in our game gets basicaly rekt by zhonyas

zed gets rekt even more and gets all the hate

why wont people buy zhonya vs likes of lb or ekko or fizz ?

oh wait because those people cant just get rekt by zhonyas this hard

why are people hating zed so hard when in fact he can be considered inferior to many other assasins who lack the counterplay he has

you used zhonyas vs lb ... effect is the same she lost a combo but in 5 seconds she will have it again fizz? the same katarina ... she goes for couple assasinations at a time so dont expect to live rengar ... he will just lash out at anything nearby ... becuase thats just what rengars do and they are actualy preety good at that ekko? he will either get out or just combo you again after zhona wears off

meanwhile for zed zhonyas means that he can basicaly go afk at a fountain because his competitioninto the game got culled realy hard

so tell me what is with the hate ... i get that you can hate riven for easily winning her lane and then easily winning her game becuase riven ... hurr durr much skill i can press buttons ... but why the zed

and dont give me the standard crap that you are forced to buy zhonyas ... face lb talon ekko or whatever ... you will feed them if you wont get something defensive early and those guys are competing more to teamfights than zed

if you didnt feed those guys ... well its their problem because they didnt play good ... if they would pick zed they wouldnt win anyway

Zhonya's is on a shorter cd then zeds q? didnt know. his q dmg is very high so its not his ult that is his burst (imo)

the way his kit works his ult is in fact his only real kill potential

if you were not to use his ult you would simply get rekt by a mage you are trying to kill also his ult allows him to preserve his w for additional jukes

closing the gap also means more reliable q hits

it does much and basicaly decides what are his windows of opportunity ...zhonya his ult and you basicaly removed his assasination potential

His q is near 1 shot for alot of full dmg players - simple kek

Just a note on Riven easily winning her lane. I have wrecked a few Rivens now using Diana top lane, she just works so well against her. As for these other assassins you speak of, LB is extremely vulnerable to pokey type APCs in mid lane like Lux, Xerath, and Ziggs. Same goes for Katarina and Ekko. I f you stay back and just blast them with spells at each available opportunity you wlll more than likely push them out of lane. Zed on the other hand can shadow in and then go on a rampage with his ult so Zhonya's becomes a rushed item for many mid laners so they don't feed him terribly hard and even still with the high cost of Zhonya's there is a good chance Zed will be able to get a kill or two before you can even complete it. Once it's completed the Zed will do what every other assassin in the game does and roam for his kills rather than just stay mid and fail with his ult every time.

Personally this whole post to me looks like op has a god complex when it comes to zed... He vastly oversimplifies almost everything around all champions he explains. The whole post is summed up as," Zed is the only champion that requires skill." Which just makes this guy an asshole.

zed isnt that hard ... in fact i would say he is preety simple to understand

the thing that i ask is "why people hate zed so much when other assasins seem to be simply more powerfull than him"

More powerful and easier skill floors are two very different things...

I don't which version of "our game" you are playing but it's not exactly a rare sight for Zed to takedown the one he ulted before the Ult even pops.

"Don't bring up what I brought up as glaring point of imbalance in a balance discussion." Yeah, sure thing; will do.

He's hated because he's a huge lane bully. He's manaless so most mages need mana regeneration items to deal with his pushing, but he's AD so mages need to rush armour against him. The thing is, mages need both of those things much more urgently against Zed than any other assassin (Talon still uses mana, for example), and it's hard to afford both.

Yes, Zhonya's is really strong against him, but it costs 3000g in a lane where most mages are going to be under-farming because they have to play safe from his lane bullying and all-in ability.

It's not so much that he's strong in the late-game - he isn't - but that playing against a manaless AD caster as a mana-using squishy is really frustrating.
