Wait, Kha'zix is bad?

Forgive me, friends, I am but a lowly gold player and I post a lot of threads about which champions I like and such... But how? I've been grinding a lot to get him to level 5 mastery (I have Rengar Shaco to level 5 already) And I'm one win away from the dream team of mains. I find that with Kha'zix it's not rather or not he's weak or strong, it's more how dedicated are you to learning this champions mechanics and his unique playstyle. Some might not find it much different than Rengar or Shaco but being mains of them there are some distinct differences. Where as Rengar and Shaco can engage at any time.. Kha'zix can't do that or he usually just dies. He has a steep learning curve but he doesn't feel weak to me. I think games take longer with him because he's not as strong as them mid game but he's definitely not weak. AND RESETS B O I Z

Anyway share your opinions and such because I'm genuinely curious on whether he is actually weak or not and would like to know your ideas on meaningful buffs, if any are actually needed. Cheers

its not so much that hes bad as there are just a lot of better choices, but if youre very skilled with a champ its better than just picking whats strongest atm for example I love aatroxx and hes definitely not the best right now but because I know a good amount of just how he ticks ive found success

Aatrox is one of the strongest champs in the game, statistically speaking. It's also not just mains playing him since his player base experience is actually quite low at 33 games on average. For comparison, a jungler played only by mains is Fiddlesticks whose average playerbase experience is 240 games.

Hes not bad, he has a stronger early game than Rengar, and can snowball really freaking hard game. I just feel like Kha'Zix is more reliable on a good-mid game to be useful, whereas Rengar is really strong late game even if he has a slow start.

I know what you mean. If I play Kha'zix jungle it's a lot easier to invade than with Rengar. His early game damage is scary.

See the problem with K6 is that he's a "1v1" champion. 1v1 isn't common in league of legends. Shaco and Rengar do not do 'less' damage while there are multiple enemies at a location. This makes playing K6 very tough and sometimes makes you useless in some situations. (Such as team fights)

In a "1v1" situation K6 probably has the highest initial burst in the game, but if it isn't a 1v1 you will lose a lot of damage.

So this results in a problem.

He isn't a great split push like Shaco and he can't 1v5 into the enemy team and kill the adc before anyone can breathe like Rengar.

His character is meant to catch people who are a lone, but once again this is league of legends people are not suppose to travel alone so it makes it very tough for K6 to play an assassin. Typically he is now put into your brusier role and in that case it would be better to get a better brusier to play your off tank role.

I love K6 but he hasn't been the same since they shifted from League of Assassins and he probably won't be the same until they weaken tanks a bit .

kha zix scares me more than rengar. his burst is higher. rengar is avoidable. and has no escapes.

See, I don't know. I often have trouble first clear, have to back, don't get to gank till later than I want to, and when I do gank the laner can half the time just turn and kill me. Too many laners have good base stats at lvl 1, meaning that the squishy bug is, well, just a squishy bug. He doesn't get a good spike till 6, and even then I don't know which to upgrade. Q so I can actually gank and catch up to the 2/0 rengar? E so i can get away from the 2/0 rengar? I may be in silver but I feel like before preseason 6 I had a pretty good grasp on Kha, and was so happy because I started to get double jumps down. Now I feel like it's hard to have fun with him because of how you need perfect conditions ;_;

All I can suggest is to try and kite the buffs while auto attacking. Why? Because it gives your attack timer time to reset for the next attack without eating a bucket load of free damage from the buff. Don't aggro the camps early on with your W as kha if you're full hp so you can get the most out of the heal from it. Remember you have to be relatively close to what you w in order to heal. Using your q DIRECTly after an auto attack is also a great way to space your damage out in the most efficient manner possible and will help you clear faster. That's just the first clear, they will get easier. For skill order I personally love to evolve the E for the reset on kill or assists. Imagine ganking a mid laner with your huge gap close but taking substantial damage from the laner or tower. You get away with a sliver of health but the enemy jungler comes charging directly at you. With E upgraded you literally just leap away from the trouble no problem. If you want to invade or just feel like you need more damage Evolve Q first. Have a good time man.

Kha'zix can work and you can win with him but his power just isn't worth the effort required to use it at this point when compared to other champions.
