Players can't earn champion mastery point on TwistedTreeline... Why?

Your objective in that game mode is to take the enemy nexus, yes? You do so by destroying towers and inhibitors, yes? What the actual fuck Riot.

I don't play that game mode very often but if I were an avid 3v3er I would be pissed off.

Because they don't give a shit about Twisted Treeline or Dominion. That's pretty much what it boils down to. Both maps are in need of serious work and all last season they received... new loading screens? TT did receive a new row of turrets... still not sure why.

Considering how much work and effort it took to get SR to look like it is now... I'd say that, that is a long time away even for those game modes.

The one that needs it the most is Dominion. Think about it. Dominion was kind of based off the Institute of War. If anything, it now seems to be out of place. I would love for it to be remade into a Piltover or Shurima feel. The scenery just doesn't seem as grand as the others. (SR seems like its from Ionia.) Also, Dominions minions don't do much. They don't work as well as even Twisted Treeline's minions. (That's pretty sad.) The turrets can deal damage, but why do they stop when being captured? That defeats a purpose and makes it too easy for my taste. It would be much more rewarding for the enemy (sorry to say, but also for us) if they dealt damage and were able to stop a capture. Also, why not make it so that a captured location doesn't stay captured for more than a specific amount of time? It would make {{summoner:17}} seem all the more needed and useful. And lastly, it might be fun to see a Ranked version of Dominion. The Crystal Scar might be a cool place in Runeterra.

Twisted Treeline doesn't seem that bad in a state (compared to the Crystal Scar) and I feel that's because its based roughly on Summoner's Rift. The minions move, act, and are well programed. So are the turrets (which all got updated looks and a added one down bot). The buffs from the... buff area? I don't know what its called... They got changed. And I think Vilemaw even got some changes. In general, there's more on Twisted Treeline to do than on Summoner's Rift. The only update I'd even think of is a more eerie feel (as in purple fog, ghosts that appear out of nowhere and attack, stuff like that to make it more haunting). The real thing Twisted Treeline could use is a draft pick, or something along those lines. Dominion has one so it just seems fair.

Lastly, I'm hoping they decide on bringing back Butcher's Bridge because thats a waist if its just a event thing. I mean, its a whole new map. What's the point if its just for events. It makes me not care as much to play if I have to say "goodbye" after a few days and feel sad about it. Its not a (URF, Ascension, Doom Bot) game mode. Its a new map for ARAM that had A LOT of work put into it. I'd really like a new map (even though I do like the original better) because there really was a lot of work.

I also must say that a new turret system should be made for each. Crystal Scar's just needs a updated look. Twisted Treeline could have brick towers that have ghouls that send out plasma blasts to go along with how the Shadow Isles are to feel. And Howling Abyss... I'm not sure really. The guys at Riot might have some good ideas.

But when they can make SR actually look and feel like this picture:

http://gameinfo.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/game-info/game-modes/summoners-rift/

I have great, high, and happy expectations they can follow with these:

http://gameinfo.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/game-info/game-modes/the-twisted-treeline/ Like I said, Twisted Treeline seems sort of fine at the moment... It follows this look very closely. But the image is also the reason I asked for purple fog.

http://gameinfo.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/game-info/game-modes/howling-abyss Still going to say the art in this mode is the best (under SR) even if the image is better than the map. I even prefer this map over Butcher's Bridge but would like the map back since I also like Bilgewater a lot. (And the map was seriously well made.)

http://gameinfo.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/game-info/game-modes/the-crystal-scar Look at this picture, then at the map... You can tell there is now room for improvement.

Sorry this was a long comment, so:

TL;DR

Crystal Scar needs a update the most. Each one could be updated a little to help each one not grow stale. I want Butcher's Bridge to come back. Hope Riot fixes Crystal Scar's bugs and updates it to either a more Shuriman or Piltover feel.

Mainly because the mastery system is experimental and the formula for calculating mastery score (S A B C D) most likely uses values that don't apply to twisted treeline (wards placed, for example).

It's gotta be challenging to replace certain factors such as wards with shrines and such. Wait, that actually doesn't seem that hard to do since they have the basic framework down.

Because your ability to play a champion on TT doesn't reflect your ability to play it on SR

That literally doesn't have a thing to do with them not having a separate version for twisted treeline. They just have to make like 3 total adjustments at most to calculate the stats.

Wards placed ok ..

That must be why my scores are always high then because i place most wards out of all then players even when im not support.

Twisted Treeline or Dominion should have champion mastery but people trying to say it should put ARAM is just crazy. The whole grading system would not make sense in ARAM

IMO, Champion Mastery is about your skill with the champion itself, not the map.

Yeah, certain champions have different dynamics on different maps, but at the end of the day, there are champion-specific mechanics that can be learned on any map/mode, and the latter should be reflected.

Ghostcrawler doesn't want players to feel like they have to "'grind ARAMs' or something" for S ranks. Evidently grinding SRs for any rank is perfectly fine though.

My guess is because the map is so unbalanced. If I play that map and spam Jax, I'm going to get a lot of mastery points I don't deserve, because Jax is very strong on TT as opposed to Summoners Rift (the map he's balanced for)

I'd like it because the map can be fun at times, my only problem with it is the lack of attention and balance updates it gets. They tweaked the overall workings of the map once if I remember, and very few champion specific changes were implemented as promised(singed and khazix are the only champs that come to mind that were nerfed on that map) so its still a pain to play the map. Either that or I'm just bad at the map, but either way I'd still love some love for Twisted Treeline. Wards would be a nice start.

Wards would be a nice start.

They'd have to majorly rework the map again for that. Riot accidentally enabled wards on TT a couple years ago via Quill Coat's active. From what I remember, high-MMR players all complained that it made games too passive. A single ward near the health relic shut down almost all possible invades or ganks.

It's because people run bots through TT until they tie that down they shouldn't offer mastery in TT.

Otherwise mastery will be pointless.

Why are you so pissed?

Twisted Treeline doesn't have it because they want to avoid people "mastering" champions quickly, and with Season 6 soon to offer skins as rewards this just makes more sense.

I wouldn't be opposed to TT and Aram having it's own seperate mastery system scaled better for the average match duration, but the current mastery system is balanced with only Summoners Rift in mind.

that moment when a 3's player is a yasuo main with a name like "wind samurai" and then gets laughed at for not having mastery in a 5's match.
