Does anyone else think Nasus needs a nerf (for low elo)

Nasus's winrate didn't go up by a lot in high elo (I think) but those buffs made him unbelievably annoying in low elo. Nasus doesn't have a weak laning phase (imo) because a good Nasus just farms and breaks freezes with his E. Sure you might deny him a little bit and his stacking but this guy just rushes tanky CDR components or items (except maybe sheen) which cost less than the damage items almost everyone else is building (except potentially tanks, but that means they typically lack the means to deny Nasus farm early on though). After the first back he is usually tanky enough to ignore whatever damage you do for the most part without fear and just Q farms and sustains with his passive. His real weakness is being irrelevant for the most part in the early to mid game. In low elo the macro game is pretty non existent and trying to take advantage of that weakness is pretty unlikely. After the buffs he takes over the lane and game much faster post 6 unless the other team is stomping.

I want to see this guy get a E mana and passive nerf so people actually have a shot at killing this guy solo in the early to mid game. Maybe even a cool down nerf on his ult and Q. I just want to stop wasting my ban on him because I'm playing in low elo where a competent Nasus just takes over the game if the other team isn't snowballing.

The idea behind Nasus is that he is one of the Juggernauts that plays for the LATE GAME. He loses early because he's all about those Q stacks, starving him by being very aggressive early on (Via clever minion management, such as freezing your minions near YOUR tower, thus forcing him to put his neck on the line in order to farm his stacks and thus making him OPEN to your JG) severely reduces his effectiveness come late game.

This part you bring up here...

"but this guy just rushes tanky CDR components or items (except maybe sheen) which cost less than the damage items almost everyone else is building"

...Suggests the idea that you're better off playing someone that can Bully him out of lane early on and keep him out as much as possible. By feeding off of him, you increase your Champion's effectiveness come Late Game, as you will have more Gold and potentially finished items to be able to handle him a bit better.

TL;DR to beat a Bully in the Late Game, you have to stop them in their Early Game.

I acknowledged the "popular/known" ways of beating Nasus. He breaks freezes with his E and farm for the most part when its too dangerous to do it melee. Unless he is running CDR runes, Nasus isn't even able to farm waves with Q early effectively. As long he can get farm well, he has little issue giving up some Q stacks early on. The one you mentioned that has consistent merit is ganking him early on. But that ties into more of the macro game which I said is pretty non existent or poorly executed in low elo. His buffs speeded his power spike and lane dominance in low elo by an obnoxious amount. He needs a nerf for low elo IMO.

you realize buff/nerfing balancing the game around low elo just handicaps the game ?

why strive to learn and get better at the game when you can just have rito buff/nerf whatever is bad/good at low elo

If done a lot, I'm not a advocate for balancing the game around low elo consistently but to make adjustments when something is over performing in low elo (but not a high elo issue) just like they did with Volibear last season. I definitely think Nasus is a case for this and should be looked into.

This isn't about me trying to avoid learning the game. I just don't want to keep wasting my ban on him because I haven't reached an elo high enough where players can actually play the macro game consistently and play around his weaknesses. I typically ban him no matter what role I'm in.

he isnt picked that often nor worth a ban

if you dont like facing him then ban him are learn how to beat him

He still has the same old weaknesses. Bully him early by bouncing the wave off his tower and freezing it on your side of the lane, forcing him to over extend for cs.

In teamfights, just kite him out or cc him.

nasus win rate by rank

bronze 52.01% silver 51.67% gold 51.07% plat 49.97% dia 47.87%

the trend is bad players dont know how to close out game and let games get to late game where gold lead dont matter cuz every one is full build and all level 18 therefore a champ who can still scale like nasus Q continues to do so and becomes more of a threat to close out games by his ability to push turrets

and in higher elos people know how to use their advantage and close out games and this isnt a common occurrence hence why there is 5% difference in win rate from bronze to diamond

Nerfing champion for low elo doesn't sound logical to me,the game should be balanced around the best players not the worst ban him if he causes you problems but catering to low elo would break the game or get higher elo where he isn't really played(atleast with success)

Maybe increase the mana cost on his q. It is really arkward how his mana bar has no spec of blue in it, but he can still cast his q. and since he can 1hit minions wonce he has sheen, most champs cannot stop him from stacking. And you cannot always rely on the time a jungelrs has to gank.
