Blame it on the fact that everyone wanted to play ADC lethality dmg boom sticks so much that a champ who can throw out a burst shield and move bonus or completely disable you or your support for a short moment is able to hard counter that stuff with ease, especially when we got supports rather playing another damage champ then be a 'actual' support.
