Lack of Game Integrity - Culture Differences?
I have recently come to the conclusion that I love this game but I hate playing it. I just don't see why we are supposed to accept such rampant cheating at the moment. Twisted Treeline on the EUW servers is basically unplayable and the last 3 games have had a group of people who intentionally feed to let their friends win the game, or they are a bot program (as their actions are EXACTLY the same each time they die which suggests automation). What is the point of League trying to be a serious competitive game if you can never be sure if the person on the other end of the computer is using illegal 3rd party scripts or other methods of cheating?
I would like Riot to implement a "UK" only server, separate from the rest of Europe as most of the cheaters/hackers/feeders/flamers tend to not be from the same country. It may have something to do with the British having a better sense of fairplay as one of our major cultural values. Values which some countries do not share. I understand that some cultures accept cheating as a part of life but that is unacceptable for others. I believe its this difference in culture that is causing problems on the EUW server and therefore it might be more beneficial to have a UK only server.
In my field of Psychology, it is known as "Cross-Cultural Variations" which should predispositions to certain behavior patterns because of culture and societal advancement.
No, it is not "racist" to ask this question. Its a legitimate field of study which affects everything in daily life. I believe its also a question that Riot should be asking when deciding how to separate servers.
