If all the chemtech champs don't use them, it would be kinda lame.

What kind of item would both SInged and Urgot use?

I mean, I don't think a champion needs to actually use the item they build in-game in the lore itself.

Yes they do!

y tho?

Because if that's the case, then Dead Man's Plate makes no sense given it's literally the prosthetic Gangplank is wearing RIGHT NOW, or the fact the vast majority of the Hextech item usages are of champs who have NOTHING to do with hextech (Vlad, Kennen, ASol etc being the biggest users of Hextech Protobelt, for instance), or how marksmen champs typically build an inventory full of swords despite the fact they all attack via pew-pew, etc etc. You get the point.

Champs really don't have to be tied to building in-game items that shares the same background with them, and never has it been the case.

Yeah and I'm gonna say it: It's stupid that the game has been out for 9 years and ranged ADCs still use swords.

But then again, it's how the items work in many especially RTS related games. Items are designed first on the basis of allowing the player to recognise their general idea via fast association at first glance; for example, "Bloodthirster" is designed as a sword and named as that to easily convey the fact it's an offensive weapon and that it boosts sustain because we associate swords with offence and blood with sustain in video games.

Not to mention, unless you plan to restrict each class or themes of champs to a handful of items each or do it via having a lot of item overlaps that do the same thing but with different sprites for different classes or themes of champs, then otherwise you will never achieve that you're envisioning; and that's not mentioning just how bad or pointless this endeavor is going to be anyway.

Items in these types of games have never been and are never supposed to be factual to the champs building them. They are just names for a given type of stat combination the champs are buying, and names and icons exist to give a player an idea on what they do, while the lore consistency and whatnot has always been separate/independent and also secondary.

Righteous Glory.

Maybe some poisoning or aoe active and passive items would be cool, has hextech items offer some decent stats but are mostly used for their actives, different uses for chemtech items would be interesting.

Speaking of chemtechs, I'm once reminded that there aren't many chemtech champs in the game too. Excluding skins, the actual chemtech themed champs are only like what, 2 or 3 in the roster? Which is a wasted opportunity that could be expanded so much on.

Why didn't they release an alchemist-like support, instead of this stupid ass Pyke
