Ok so what i'm wondering, what are your thoughts on Kassadin as of right now, with the addition to the ap ratio on his ult he has improved, but is still subpar... thoughts?

Don't overbuff him if you do choose to give him some attention, don't want to see Kassawin become a thing again :P Permaban status is never fun for the people who enjoy playing him.
His ulti is fine now.He needs some base dmg buffs.Bring back his mr/lvl back ,he suppose to be anti ap champ.To compensate that nerf his shield or smtg.Buff his E slow duration to like 1,5 or 2s but reduce the slow to like 50 or 60%.or let his W work on turets again.And mb then he would be fine, i dunno :/ Or just give him full rework like sion.Really ,the last time i saw kassadin was 4-5 months ago...there is no reason to pick kassadin instead of ekko.
I feel like the AP ratio to his ultimate was not a big buff. Its range is so nerfed that you won't be hitting it on champions unless they're isolated and it's safe to ult toward them 2 - 3 times. You'll generally be ulting into range for you to be able to hit Q and E.
The truth is, a very low cooldown blink on a champion will never be balanced in this game.
The Three Phases of Kassadin's Fate: Phase 1: Get small buff. Wait 2 months. Become broken and permaban. Get nerfed. Phase 2: After nerfs, wait 2 months. People realize he's still broken and he becomes permaban. Get nerfed again.
Phase 2 happens multiple times until he's too garbage and Riot decides it's time for a rework.
And lastly, Phase 3: Get rework. Riot doesn't want to remove his ultimate because it's his identity and player's will get mad if they remove it or nerf it too hard. Phases 1 and 2 happen again on the new Kassadin because his core problem is with his ultimate. Somewhere in the middle before he gets broken again, Phase 1 triggers because Riot thinks they tuned him down too much.

im just going to level here, i play a lot of mid, i never see kassadin anymore, and its largely because he doesn't bring 1v1 kill potential or lane harassment anymore.
id like to see him, but then again i dont want to only see him, ya know? i think they need to change his W and E skills altogether before we actually see some good solid gameplay from him.
Personally, I don't care for his passive, nor his ult stacking. I like using my ult sparingly, and when I need to, rather than using it pointlessly just so I can have stacks upon encountering a jungle fight. His passive is too situational, and ends up useless mostly because of all the zeds/yasuo/talons.
I am completely fine with him not having a silence, but I think perhaps either a longer duration shield, or perhaps a slightly better one, or maybe a slightly better E slow would work wonders to bring him up to par without bringing in some random BS to make him overpowered. His problem is that he has to rise from the dumpster and survive long enough before he can kill people, and I think a better shield could help.
Have you played against someone oppressive like Azir? Good luck csing at all being melee. You will have to use your Q, which isn't spammable, and your E.
I have also found that maxing E is the way to go now due to the fact that his q does abysmal damage the only thing it is good for right now is the magic damage shield and even that feels lacking.
I think he's still pretty good, just unpopular now. He definitely takes some patience since it takes him so long to scale.
Damaging flash on a 6s cool down is still ridiculous. Think it's like 2s on max rank now too...
he's probably more of a niche pick now
