Umm Riot, why the sudden removal of all the flat ap from viktor's hex core?

Honestly, when you initially reworked Viktor, your goal was to make his hexcore a viable item slot. Now you just completely removed the flat AP it gave at all stages of the game?

Why not just give him 60AP on his perfect hexcore and remove the AP on the hexcore mk 1 and 2 so that it can feel like you just upgraded it into a legendary tier item, 3k gold for a little bit of AP per level just doesn't constitute removing his AP on his hexcore outright. It will still accomplish the goal of toning down his early game but it won't remove the item slot efficiency of the hexcore completely. source: http://www.surrenderat20.net/2015/08/85-pbe-update.html

item 3200 3-56 AP depending on level ----> and 1-18 AP and 10-180 mana.

item 3196 24-92 AP and 150 mana --------> 3-54 AP and 15-270 mana.

item 3197 45--130 AP and 300 mana ------> 6-108 AP and 20-360 mana.

item 3198 66-168 AP and 500 mana. -------> 10-180 AP and 25-450 mana.

difficult to pin point the power curves on this one. Your going to get more mana early, with the prototype hex core, with less scaling AP. which means his early spells would hurt less, But could be cast for longer.

The first and second hex core are big drops is purchased power. Riot probably wants those early upgrades to be more for the augmentation. Perfect hexcore levels out in AP at level 15, after which it's a buff to it's AP.

So this looks like a nerf to every stage except the late game. While encouraging people to get that perfect Hexcore.

Actually, at level 18, Ultimate Hexcore will have 12 more AP than current Hexcore. It's still slot efficient, but most of it's power was relegated to the late game.

I mean, fair enough, I guess... God forbid if a Mage is allowed to be strong in the meta for once without having a pair of giant tits.

Riot, undoing progress since season 3

Because, reasons.

(9 out of 10 of those reasons simply being 'we're Riot, we can do what we want')

Thank fucking god finally he gets his mid early game nerfed.

It is a nerf to his early game, but his mid and late game are going to be even better.

All these missocnceptions about his late game "getting better"... What if I told you that:

  • he already overkilled squishies late game. So in what world is that 18 additional AP going to make any difference?
  • it adds about 40 damage on full combo. ~60 if we count the full R DoT. Yay, so much damage!
  • he lacks mobility, range and CC. When he gets caught trying to get in range it won't matter if he has 168 or 180 AP. Viktor has insane power level during late game, that's true, but it becomes equally insanely risky for him and the graph showing his win ratio to game lenght mirrors that.

And, for the optimistic finale, I'll ask you all supporting nerfs one question only: where have you been nine months ago, when there were like three Viktor players on whatever server? Why noone cried for nerfs back then? Why every time I picked Viktor I got flamed to oblivion? You are aware that since the rework he was like that all the time, but noone acknowledged that because he wasn't played on a freaking LCS? Learn to think for yourself people.
